Well what sort of a winning margin are we talking for the tribesmen here? Also who will be taking the frees, Padraig or Nicky Joyce? I think Nicky was on them last year..

bigfrank

Anyone aware of the NY starting team for 2moro's game.......

Duine Eile

Padraic kicks off his left foot, Nicky off his right so they'll probably both be taking the frees I'd imagine.

What station's carrying the match?  Don't suppose TG4 will have it?

longrunsthefox

Absolutely ridiculous fixture. How much money does it cost to fly all them boys out and for wat? Such a waste of money. ... Has a home born New Yorker ever played for them in the championship?

mannix

not much of a game for galway really,  a good galway club would win this one easily. but its nice for the people living and playing over there.

TG4 will have highlights on their GAA 2010 programme from 8pm tomorrow night. Galway Bay FM have live commentary starting at 9pm, after the Hurling League Division 1 Final at 7pm.

Interesting that TG4 are showing highlights of this years game when Galway are playing but haven't bothered the other years when the other Connacht counties have been involved. Their home town bias is obvious and to be honest not commented on enough.

Separately I hope that the car bomb in NY hasn't affected any players or supporters. Last year when I was over there the Mayo team and many of the fans were staying just to the north of Times Square where the incident happened.

Cant even get a spread for this game.
Aiden Power and Joe Bell the starting wing backs. Power to pick up Bergin. Big Bird will not be making an appearence this year due to an incident in a challenge game during the week. Suspension has been enforced by Croke Park as NYGAA were not going to take any action.
Crossmaglens Johnny Murtagh starting corner forward aswell. he will be the only real scoring threat NY have.  The problem will be getting the ball to him.

bigfrank

Galways 1/500
NY 20/1

and 25/1 the draw just in case :) no sign of the spread as u say carmen!!

RTE should have gone over and put it on live.

Well obviously not but if TG4 can put a camera there when Galway are playing they should do it the other years too. If GBBs line of thinking is to be followed we should all have to answer on screen trivia as gaeilge before we're allowed to watch highlights of a game on TG4. Look, I don't want to knock them too much because they show a lot of stuff that nobody else would bother with, but there is still a clear bias. If Galway had been playing Cork a few weeks ago as a top of the table clash down in Pairc Ui Chiomh you can bet they wouldn't have completely ignored the game like they did when it was Mayo v Cork.

Stupid argument. Ní Gaeilgeoir dúchas mé ach rinne mé mo dhícheall í a fhoghlaim ar scoil. There, that should do the bloody hoors to show Mayo anymore.
