Is Moloney after moving to Portlaoise? He got a nice random bonus recently. The boom is back too.

Quote from: blueandwhite1 on February 24, 2024, 09:16:02 PMHave seen no evidence that this management team are any good. Our hurling standards and the way the team is set up looks second rate.

I have to agree. Very poor and doesn't look good when we lose two coaches mid season. Although looking at a couple of trainings earlier in the year, the sessions are very poor. I think things are going to get worse in the next couple of seasons as I think we will lose a number of first team players at the end of this season.

Disharmony in Rathdowney Errill as Martin Power let go now after being reappointed

Funny moves! How did they take him back if they weren't happy!
He seemed to have a very peripheral role in the whole set up last year- there were lots of Chiefs!

Oh really do elaborate?

Very strong rumours that Anthony Cunningham to be the next St Bridgids manager in Roscommon, even though they are in an All-Ireland semi final after Christmas. Awful in house fighting with management and players running the team at the moment. Jerome Stack currently in place

Quote from: mcwregor on December 17, 2023, 04:04:05 PMGood to hear of Lee cleere returning. Not sure of the panel mKe up but there are plenty of lads that might not be available which will weaken what we could potentially have. I understand Paddy Purcell is unlikely to return. Jack Kelly has not been asked back. Ross king is currently not with the squad and uncertainty around his future. James keyes is in America and would be a big loss if he stays out there. Cha Dwyer and Sean Downey are still abroad, not sure if they will he around either. PJ Scully is not part of the panel for 2024 either. A couple of others we could do with are Ciaran McEvoy, Eanna Lyons etc.
On the positives Picky Maher and Willie dunphy are back along with a few youngsters like cathal and Tom cuddy, David dooley, jer quinlan, Aaron phelan and a couple more. Also heard that Mark kavanagh might be making a return.
We will need them all, westmeath and an up and coming offaly will be hard bet. Be great to get to a mcdonagh final and a day out in croker.

According to this article everyone is back on board.

I heard Mark Kavanagh has reluctantly left the panel due to his knee holding him back.

One worry I have is the amount of u20s on the panel. A few players are only gone 18 and on the panel. Personally I think it's wrong. Let them develop at their own age.

Quote from: Galtee1 on December 14, 2023, 02:45:47 PMBorris & Ossory have appointed Paudie Bourke and Shane Scully from Jk Bracken Templemore.

A shrewd appointment by B/K by all accounts. They come with good reviews as an upcoming management team.

John Walsh leaving colt shanahoe to manage ballinakill apparently. - I heard its Damien Walsh over Bkill with Sean Flynn as coach. He was an analyst with Tipperary. Don't know what his coaching experience is.

Camross on the hunt for a new manager. Richie Power was seemingly a done deal and pulled out.

No it's not okay but it seems that ship has sailed as clubs are afraid of the cut throat. Anyone who thinks the new SHC format is good needs to get themselves checked out quickly

10 team SHC is a farce. We are doing well having 8 teams capable of playing senior hurling but definately not 8. Clubs who voted for just looking after their own patch

Puke football. Woeful advertisement for our county. I know Josephs won't care but Christ it was pathetic.

Dis Ballyroan keep the receipt? What a waste of money. An extremely talented team playing that way. Wall and Garrigan should be ran.
