Any ideas on where's a good couples break for NYE? . It's last minute yes and things will be more expensive - but here's what we've came up with from a bit of research on skyscanner & booking.com:

- It looks like the best dates price-wise we've settled on are Sun 30th Dec 2018 to Thurs 3rd Jan - 4 nights.
- Prague is top of our list at the moment. - She's mad to go here - I'm a bit unsure. Neither of us have been before. Will there be enough to do?
- Barcelona is our close 2nd. We've both been previously and loved it in summer time. Value wise the flights and hotels are similar to Prague.
- Edinburgh - it's very close, but for the prices for a flight and accommodation in Edinburgh we'd be better off going further abroad. It's expensive for NYE period.
- We looked at New York for before xmas too & NYE but I've been a few times and the crowds would be crazy, and I wasn't even there during New Years.
- Other places on our list were - Budapest, Rome, Madrid, Berlin, Lisbon, REYKJAVIK was a big favourite of mine but it's seriously expensive. Dubai/Abu Dhabi was more wishful thinking than realistic!!

We wouldn't be spending a lot of time in the hotel. However, we want a good base. Not a hostel, B&B, a decent 3, 4 or 5 star hotel.

TIA.

It might not turn out to be that bad of a window - Sky Sports confirmed that Mustafi has agreed to join, a fee now has to be agreed between clubs. If (a big if) we add a top class striker in addition to him before the end of the window. Things could be looking better. I expect him to add a striker with Giroud and Welbeck out, although then again who can predict Arsene..

As a "Nordie", among other names our southern counterparts call us  ;D , I have good  friends that have played for N.I. Soccer teams. It's entirely personal preference, I would be very much Republic supporter only. The N.I. team don't bother me in any way, I just take no interest in following them.

I think it's actually an interesting thread. I wasn't aware of how people up north felt about the team.
I remember growing up down south that any sporting victory by anyone from the north would be not in the same league as someone from the south winning. Dennis Taylor for example
I think the success of the GAA teams has opened things up a bit but it's still strange when it comes to soccer. RTE are very precious about the Republic of Oireland team as well.

I would agree there that there is a lot of jealousy when "Sam"crosses the border, as if it's been stolen from its rightful place... May get used to it this September again!  ;)

What's the honest views at the minute then?!Iceman etc... Is CMcG going to be on the card or not at UFC200, is it all a waiting game? Correct me if I'm wrong but the pre sale tickets go on sale Thursday so they're leaving it late! Dana/UFC bound to make an announcement tonight or tomorrow?

Flights over from New York on Thursday 7th July and back Monday 11th, £280 indirect , £330 cheapest direct return! Is this not very dear for an internal flight in America? Thinking to book it now before it gets astronomical or wait to I'm out there! Could end up dearer booking in NY?

What is the difference between getting a J1 Visa and just coming out on the 90 day visa you pay for on the ESTA Website? I was just looking it summed up briefly, lot of bullsh*t on those websites. Is having it any better off versus doing it the other way! Obviously the J1 Visa is aimed at students and I can apply for it, but few friends who aren't students are just getting this 90 day visa https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/
If I'm just coming out on it and the club are providing a job for me (probably going to be labouring on site) can I still get a job in bars etc or do you need the social security number that's provided with a J1 Visa?
There just seems to be a lot of hassle registering for the J1 and they have to know where you're staying and be registered and all that jazz!

Would a bartender make as much money as your typical lad out for the summer on site?
I've fair bit of bar experience but I'll get by grand with the laboring I'm sure!

I know its often the way with minor teams that a lot fall by the wayside but that list seems hard to believe.

So do you think McKenna will make it this year? Like his dad he was a good fielder of the ball but seemed a bit slow or had no urgency from what I remember.

What about the big Omagh lad Grugan. Will he be back or has he gone too?
Will this Conlan lad make it this year? He looked good in the McKenna cup but haven't seem much of him since.

I know it's only March but who would your best 15 be at the moment?

I don't know what McKenna cup games you were at but I was at all of them and Conlan was v. poor, would have been one of the ones after the campaign I'd have looked at and said "didn't take his chance, he'll be one to go when the cut is made".

There just simply isn't the money put into improvement in the mental health area, there was a young fella from County Derry last week took his own life. He apparently sought help for his depression and didn't get the help he was looking for, this isn't the first instance I've heard of this, the counsellors who are working in our health centre / GP's practice are over resourced and making an appointment with them can be as far as 5 and 6 weeks away, which is no good to someone seeking immediate help!!

"And its cue card leading as we come up to the last, lands beautifully, pulls away by 3 to 4 lengths, and it's cue card, the 2016 Cheltenham Gold Cup Winner, ridden by Paddy Brennan"  ;) ;)

Again he came out with his usual post match comments yesterday (French twang) "Watford were very phys-ic-ally strong" bla bla bla, then he reckons they didn't deserve to lose the game?? Did he watch the highlights yet? They were completely out-played. I think it's safe to say now that Gabriel is another one to add to the long list of flop "not-up-to-it" signings.

Brought on Welbeck when it was too late, to be fair to him he's been good since he came back. That Giroud man couldn't finish his dinner. Amount of chances it takes him to convert, 1 in every 5 attempts, f*cking useless.
Quite frankly this is one idiotic and ethnically insulting post. Adds fuel to the fire,  that in the main, Arsenal's antagonists are clueless bandwagonners who have no connection to the club.

Hold on a minute here Main Street, I'm hoping your a "WUM" after that statement! Wise up, ethnically insulting? Catch a grip, or start your own pro-PC thread. Idiotic - most definitely not. If you've cast your eye over any of the articles written both online and in newspapers by journalists over the last week or so, including greats such as Ian Wright may I add, there's a sense of "the time has come" which is plain to see in their writings.
Yes, he does deserve respect, he's one of the last long-serving managers and will go down as a legend in the club, but if you were an arsenal supporter (are you even?) you'd understand my frustration. And I'm no bandwagoner  ;D The board need to get a hold of things here and deal with it professionally, or have showdown talks with Arsene if he is to fulfil his contract to it ends in 2017.

No more falling over and having their belly tickled at the business end of the season, look at the team that started in 2006 champions league final vs today's team , tell me where the leaders are.

Don't bet on Arsenal, United, Chelsea, or Liverpool (never thought we'd be saying that regarding bets)  ::) ::)
