Three teams relegated this year too will leave it extra competitive with nobody wanting to get dragged into a relegation battle every game counts

Three teams dropping out of Div2 as well?

They are relegating 5 from division two to make it an eight team league. 3 down from div 1 and only one going up, plus one up from div 3, leaves 13 in div 2 before relegation. Hence 5 down to make 8 in division 2 in 2016.

Is this fact or fiction?

Hard to believe they would relegate half of one division! That would a new very radical move, even for Antrim!!

If I remember correctly, the motion put forward at county convention by CCC was: at the end of 2015 season all of the Antrim Hurling leagues would revert to 8 team leagues. It was voted for by the clubs and approved at convention in December. We discussed it on here at the time

Is it not just div 1 going to an eight team league and the rest remaining the same except div 4 which will gain two teams if the one up three down filters through.

On the Antrim Gaa board a while back, the question was asked about relegation from division 1 and promotion from division 2 and the moderator replied 2 will leave division 1,and no one will come up

I find this hard to believe. It must've been a misprint or something. How r u supposed to get motivated to play in a league with no chance of promotion from? Are they trying to make all the divisions as boring and meaningless as div 1?

Can't disagree much with that there although I think bgalget will get there fill from St Paul's and sarsfield v gnm might be tighter too. Is Dessie mcclean still away?

No idea. Think if the match was at St pauls it would be a different story. Cloughmills glenariffe could swing either way

think bar Galget n Carey game the others will be tight and depending on weather there may even be a few upsets like a very tight gnm pitch on a very wet and windy day would be tough for any team in the county.

Serious amount of work has gone into this so don't let me down with your replies.
Division 2 looks like it'll be entertaining this year - maybe better than division 1.

;D wtf u are right!!!
Glenariffe have got their act together!! They're putting me to shame.
I'm claiming a moral victory based on the fact that I got Cushendun and St Pauls right so far.
Sarsfields and Carey have to be the two biggest disappointments to date though.
Gort are definitely worth the watching. They took Sars scalp and in their other two games they only lost by 1 and 3 points respectively.
Early days yet though WTF - Paddy Power could be shitting them yet!!

WTF u on about?

Gorts have a few men back I hear and so do glenarriffe. It's such a tight league with most matches a decided by a point or two either way I wouldn't like to predict too many results
