Quote from: LC on May 05, 2024, 07:48:12 AMNo doubt there is a supposed popularity of rugby in terms of attendance compared to big GAA patches however would many attendees yesterday be formally linked to clubs?  Ulster final tickets this year are being distributed solely via clubs, if IRFU adopted this for a big rugby patch they would have a substantial amount left over.
Leinster is a "club"  :-X

Quote from: marty34 on May 05, 2024, 08:20:18 AMI see the ex-England player, Mike Browne, was sent off recently for a head challenge.

He then started to swear at the referee.

He is suspended for two weeks.

As part of this process, he has to give a presentation on the values of the game. This will be then used for educational purposes and help demonstrate that behaviour like this will not be tolerated in rugby.

No messing there by the rugby lads.

GAA HQ should take a good look at this.

Hope sanctimonious w**k like this never becomes mainstream in the GAA. Too many Kool-Aid drinkers in rugby. Can promote respect for the referee without banging on how noble the game itself is.

Quote from: armaghniac on May 04, 2024, 06:46:32 PMIts a bit one sided. The home draw for the semi final significant.
Lucky in the GAA that we don't have home semi finals where blue teams can fill the stadium with their supporters and overawe the opposition.
the Dubs can't fill croke Park this time of the year after 14 in a row. Who is responsible for this?
The stadium is never going to be filled unless it's an AI final or at a stretch Dublin against either Mayo or Armagh in a semi final.
When has it ever been any different?
Croke Park has rarely ever sold out for anything but an All Ireland final. This isn't a new phenomenon.
The state of leinster football attendances certainly is.

Leinster not great so far. Not much to shout about. One break from Sheehan but then he got pinged for holding on. The ref having a few 'decisions'. They should have scored just before half time

gallsman

Shitting the bed in all the big moments offensively. Could nearly be out of sight by now with all the attacking platforms they've created.

Aye it's not looking great. Their testicular fortitude has been questioned repeatedly on the big day and it feels like today will be no different.

JPGJOHNNYG

Not sure how Leinster haven't won that, so many chances. A quick flick back to the football matches

gallsman

I'm no Leinster hardcore fanatic but feel they've been rode a bit by the ref here. Dunno how he calls that a demonstrate knock on on lowe but doesn't give it against Toulouse in the first half.

gallsman

Ref missed a knock on before that happened Healy.

JPGJOHNNYG

He has been harsh on them all day between pinging Sheehan for holding on as they were 5m out and then not playing advantage at half time to allow the Leinster try and then that. Still despite everything Leinster have only themselves to blame. Very similar to the la Rochelle matches. What might have been

JPGJOHNNYG

Just got interesting again. Is there time though?

There absolutely was and now they've fucked it in the bin again. Crazy from Doris.
