Sounds like a lovely man with a perfect temperament to be a priest and to be involved in Tyrone football.

Wouldn't believe everything you read on here.

Probably sound advice but in this case every word I've read is true unfortunately, he was hateful.

They have addressed their most pressing need and have not just went for the slightly better option than Karius, Butland, Pope etc, you can't do much more than that. They have shown huge intent

Last year he did not make a single error that led to a goal in 37 games for Roma, when is the last time Liverpool have had that quality of keeper?

Ray Clemence?

Former professional wrestler Leon White (aka Big Van Vader)
Underrated wrestler great character he played. RIP.

Used to watch him on WCW on TV in the early 90s. He was also big in Japan!

Easier than expected win for Armagh.  A round 2 draw against Leitrim or Sligo would be nice next but those teams are probably left aside for Tyrone and Mayo.

Well said.

I really miss Stallion (said poster above), I'd have loved to see his analysis of the UCL final. Also with all of these good signings I'm sure Steven Caulker would have been getting a few mentions :)

Nevermind Gooch, I think Maurice Fitzgerald is the best Kerry player I've seen... Armagh were lucky that he fell out with Páidí

He'll play 3 at the back

                     Butland
       Walker-Maguire/Jones-Stones
Trippier                                 Young  :o
        Dier - Henderson - Ali
                 Sterling
                   Kane

On paper it looks a terrible squad but possibly they'll do better than much more heralded squads (could hardly do worse I suppose)

That team looks shaky to me. Surely Walker is a full back? They're very short of CB's to play 5 at the back.....there's only 4 in the squad if I'm right.

Also if anything happens Dier and/or Henderson what's the plan then? Surely Milner should be in the squad at the expense of one of the full backs (TAA probably)? Think they're actually alright the other end. On top of Alli, Kane and Sterling they have Rashford and Lingard. They need to try and get those lads on the pitch. 4-2-3-1 possibly their best chance of using resources properly.

                               Butland

Trippier/Walker     Cahill      Jones       Rose/Young

                      Dier              Henderson

   Sterling                   Alli/Lingard           Rashford

                                Kane

I've not seen enough of Maguire and I don't rate Stones at all.

Agree with the comments that perversely the worst looking England squad on paper in my memory might actually do well.

Dier can also play center half.

Very light on center mids. In-spite of the injury record I thought Lallana would've been in there. He brings something different.

Can't say I watched a lot of England but haven't they being experimenting Walker and Gomez at the right side of a 3?

No much better to select a striker who has scored 5 league goals all season, the other teams must be trembling with fear...

Not sure it's good form to post a video of StGallsGAA without his permission

His head will explode if Liverpool win the damn thing.

Haha thankfully not a huge clean up operation given his brain mass :)

;D

I can't believe small clubs like Everton and Man Utd are complaining so much about their overachieving managers :)

There was no need for any panic in the end. Good to see Salah back on the score sheet.

Congrats to Salah for breaking the EPL scoring record! Not bad for a winger, harry....

The ownership problems at Liverpool are obviously the root cause of their current travails but I still can't help but think that the sale of Alonso in 2009 was the one transfer that should never have happened and Benetiz's biggest mistake. Never got the Mascherano hype yet always thought Alonso was under-valued at Liverpool.

Anyway Liverpool are 2nd only to Man United when it come's to prestige in England and would be a marquee name throughout the world very few managers would not consider the role. However anyone calling for Martin O'Neill, are you mad, have you not seen the legacies at Villa and Celtic that he left behind, he has a complete lack of understanding of squad rotation and management, there is no British manager bar maybe David Moyes would be capable of taking Liverpool forward. Liverpool do not need a short term fix but a manager with a vision and a minimum 5 year strategy.

The most interesting name that I can see is Jurgen Klopp, very highly rated in Germany and have worked in Germany will have no problems fitting into a cost-effective management process that UEFA's new rules will require.

However I think Liverpool supporters need to sit back and realise that they will need to be patient and that a new manager will not suddenly wave a magic wand, handle expectation and set small targets because at it stands both Manchester clubs and the top 3 London clubs have better squads.

Football like all things in life is cyclical so Liverpool will be back just no one can guarantee when....

:'(

As a child of the 80s, I enjoy Liverpool's lack of success however as a club I can but only admire, even in Corporate football they still retain that emotional connection that makes them more than a football club. If they the UCL fair play I certainly wouldn't begrudge them.

Moyes. Jesus Christ

Yea wtf was I thinking!!!

Was probably a perfectly reasonable suggestion at the time. Just goes to show how much can change in a short space of time.

Yes even the best manager in the world ever, Slur Alex was of the same opinion!

Would be gutted if Liverpool don't get through tomorrow night.
Real Madrid have used all their luck to get there and don't look as good as previous years
Could Liverpool beat them "absolutely"

Hi Brendan :)

Need to separate your odd poor results to how Liverpool set up in Europe..they have been immense home and away! Stoke fighting for their lives!! Set up for a draw and got it..forget about decisions not going your way, some you get some you don't..

Will Liverpool put out full team v Chelsea? Or rest lads for the final? A draw would secure a fourth spot but a draw isn't in their make up

That's where the 13/14 team went wrong against the same opposition.
