Would have been a nice option for the run in though, especially against low block teams.

Not sure this season they have had issues with low block teams.

Offensive Teams targeting certain parts of the pitch against Liverpool. City will do the same
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Nothing vintage about that win but with the amount of injuries and sickness in the squad a very good 3 points

On the NBC coverage in the US, the co-commentator was positive the Diaz goal would be disallowed for a foul in the build up by McAllister.

McAllister looked like he kicked the Burnley player in the shin on the edge of the box, but it seemed to have zero impact on the player himself or the play. The Burnley player moved to go up the field, presumably expecting the ball to be returned to him. Instead, Liverpool pressured the other player, turned it over and ended up scoring.

VAR, at least on the tv, only looked at whether Elliott was onside. They ignored (in the tv part) the McAllister kick. Presumably they didn't think it was a foul because it didn't have any impact.

Which goes to why players go down in those situations. Had it been at the other end, in the box, I'd say the Burnley player would have definitely hit the turf, whereas in this situation he was looking for the give and go so he could break and ignored it. Obviously not a painful one!

Deffo fair to say pool got away with that one. As you say the focus was on offsides where a kick to shins was clear as daylight

But surely they saw it?

Which means they didn't think it was relevant.

Had the player gone down, it would have been called back. Probably by the ref in real time.

Wouldn't surprise me if the var gipes focused solely on the offside. There was no var replays on the channel I was watching yday of that bit just the offside. Yer man deffo paid for his honesty. Alexis done the kicking yet he fell in a heap 🤣

gawa316

Was it not against burnley when Salah got pushed into an offside position and as a result was deemed to have obscured the keepers view?

These things tend to even...and all that shite!

After Spurs whatever dodgy decisions pool get I'll gladly accept 🤓

Any man a member of a supporters club with access to tickets?

Trying all avenues, without ridiculous over the top prices.

Would take Southampton or Luton midweek etc!

Thanks

Might have to go the hospitality route. I saw £152 for the Southampton game

Fair play to him, it could have went very wrong  ;D

Injuries really piling up now for Liverpool. That Jota one looks season-ending.

Brilliant, ballsy finish from Nunez.
