Kahn is such a d1ck. Blaming the ref and the fact that it was in DC. Can't face that he lost the fight fair and square. This is why he hasn't been the draw he could have been over the last while.

He took that defeat well, simply not as good as he think's he is.
How did he take the defeat well? He said it was like fighting two people in the ring and that he was the "clean fighter". Blamed Peterson for coming in with his head. Never once admitted that he was outfought.

I need to work on my sarcasm.

Gerry is expressing his desire to be part of society, or a subset of society. He is choosing the style they want out of many available. Many aren't dressing to be part of the crowd but to claim their individuality within the crowd.

Dail fashion is there to be enjoyed, not to be a slave to.

Vidic has played his last game for United. Don't like to see any player badly injured, but he wont be missed. United's season is fecked anyway.

Not sure if trolling or just clueless? every football follower across the globe knows the importance of Vidic to United & that injury he got could be his last game.

Some midfield help on the way:

Need him back to his peak, same with Jamie Carragher, forward that can score 25-30 goals a season & old fashion winger that can create 10-15 goals a season.

Put a bleedin' tie on when you're in the Dail.

The big dirty beard has to go, imagine going into the Dail without a tie & a shave.

The patronising attitude of many United fans (not necessarily saying on here) and in the UK media towards Basel was shocking. They've been a pretty consisitent force from when they broke through 9/10 years ago - stopping Celtic qualifying and knocking Liverpool out in first group stage. In Shaqiri  they have one of the most sought after young players in Europe and Alex Frei has scored goals throughout his career.

Anyone overly surprised by last night's result after the first game is insane.
I saw on SKY only two years ago Basel finish bottom in the champions league group & to be fair nearly every Champions league team has sought after young players. Whatever way you dress it up it's insane that United with their champions league record didn't get out of that group.

It's an embarrassment to those arrogant enough to assume the group was a cakewalk in an ever more increasingly competitive tournament.

So what if they finished bottom two years ago, they're a small Swiss club. That didn't mean they should be discounted as a threat, especially after the first leg.

For the record, Shaqiri looks set to be sensational. He was phenomenal in the euro u21s during the summer where the Swiss reached the final. Several other Basel players were in that team too.

Cakewalk no nonetheless a team that won the Premier league & played in last seasons Champions league final should have enough quality to finish ahead of small Swiss club & so what? didn't you say they were a consisitent force. Not sure are you a United fan or not but anyone associated with Man United FC should feel embarrassed & that's not arrogance just stating the bleeding obvious! Captain out.

Why did utd sign de gea in the summer when its obvious lindegaard is a better keeper?

surely that 20m could have been spent shoring up the middle of the field

Obvious? explain to your Captain.

The great wall of China (Vidic) has been broken down to be replaced by a sheet of glass (Evans)

How much did that Champions league exit cost United tonight at least City don't have the huge debt to pay off.

I think Man U could send out their catering staff and win that group. Masters of the cushy draw.

The two top sides in the premier league knocked out in the Champions league group stages & Arsenal,Chelsea will be eaten alive by the top teams in the next rounds, listen lads the premier league is simply not good enough.

Said on the SKY this time last season Liverpool were 9th after 14 games only 9 points off the leaders compared to now 7th 15 points behind the leaders.

Yet Liverpool have played way way better the first half of this season compared to the same time last year and the fans can judge this with their own eyes. This time last year we were getting gubbed at home by the likes of Blackpool and Northampton Town. And not just beaten we were easily second best in the vast majority of games we played. This season I have to say we've actually played very well in nearly all our games apart from the Spurs match when we were awful. Liverpool probably haven't got the points total that their football has deserved so far. They lead the league in the amount of times they have hit the woodwork (twice more last night). Granted you could put that down to poor finishing as much as bad luck. Certainly a lack of goals compared to the amount of chances we create is now becoming a problem.

Liverpool's Football has improved probably due to better squad. After the City game some of the players & Dalglish seemed very pleased with a draw in a game where two points was dropped.

Over the years Liverpool have beaten better teams than City at home, performance means little as it's a results game at the end of the day! for a club of Liverpool's stature two wins from seven home games is simply not good enough & that's why they find themselves 15 points behind the leaders.
