Midfield is championship level along with Pogba who doesn't want to be there. Biggest mistake was selling Herrera who was providing leadership in the middle of the park and not replacing him. Fred signed for 50 million has become the latest Brazillian flop alongsie Anderson and Kleberson.

It's worse than that. At least if they'd sold him they could've gotten a bit of money out of it. They let his contract run down and he walked away for nothing. But Woodward et al. still made sure to find the time and money to offer contact extensions to Young, Smalling and Jones in the last 12 months. Nothing the club has done in the last five years makes any footballing sense. There is no vision for the future beyond sourcing the next noodle or mattress partner. It's a broken football club.

This is the only squad that really matters to those that run the show:

Also I would love to see a list of united players wages, it seems every player is on silly wages including young players like Rashford and poor players like Phil Jones something that did not happen under Ferguson era, it seems to be a really bad run club on the football side of things that is for sure.

Hmmm I'm sure this thread will be bumped up top on Sunday evening. Pogba and De Gea out. It'll probably end up 0-4 being optimistic about it.

Ferguson signed Jones for what was big money at the time, and he was on big wages from the get go. The wages are always going to be massive if players are signed for 20,30,40 mil

Which part?

Which part would ya think?

No idea. You've highlighted both so you're suggesting both are false.

Boycey

I didnt, I highlighted the untrue one, the other one is a matter of opinion.

Ed Ricketts

Jones was signed for big money. £16.5 million up front, with talk that went past £20 million with add-ons. That was very big money for a teenage defender in 2011. Probably only 5 or 6 clubs in the world paying those sorts of fees around then.

It seems his wages were relatively modest originally, though. It's only in recent years that the club have been doling out stupid money.
Doc would listen to any kind of nonsense and change it for you to a kind of wisdom.

NAG1

So whats the likely line up for Sunday then.

DeGea out, Pogba out and AWB a doubt, Martial not match fit.

Romero
Young
Maguire
Lindelof
Dalot
McTominay
Matic
Pereira
James
Rashford
Linegard

Not much left after this really?

That side gets slaughtered by Liverpool. Solskjear will be under immense pressure come Monday morning if so.

Why is OGS going to be under pressure? He can't sign players between now and the weekend. Utd have very bad players so they're going to have really bad performances. OGS can do absolutely nothing about it.

Jeepers Creepers

Nothing expected against Liverpool so I don't think there'll be any job security pressure until the run in after.

United are making a bad enough job of running the club themselves without people having to invent bolloks like this.... He was just inside the top 10 transfers in the league that Summer, Liverpool and Arsenal were in the running for him too. It was about the going rate for a young English emerging talent.
