NFL Fantasy Football - GAABoard Superbowl 2023

Well lads, it's wrap up time on another Fantasy season, and congrats to everyone who took part and stuck with it, but special congratulations to our two conference Champions, the Smack Down Clowns and the Ballyhaise Bills. Also a special mention for our undisputed Rookie of the year, the Coolera Bears. They just came up short at the end, but certainly put paid to the notion that you have to be a multi year veteran to be competitive.

Now it's time to crown our GAABoard Superbowl champion. As you know, we do a predictions competition for all the playoff games up to and including the Superbowl itself. In prior years it's been based on the results of the game, but I think it's fair to say that the competition peetered out as one or the other surged ahead, so this year the head to head between our two conference Champions will be based on more Fantasy type scores.

So, Smackdown Clowns and Ballyhaise Bills, please PM me your picks in the following areas. PM do not post You need to make a pick in each category for ech game, 16 picks in total. Each pick you get right will get you 10 points. A wrong pick will be 5 points. The categories are the same for all 4 games.

1. Winning Team (Team that wins through to the next round, OT counts)
2. Team with most Rushing Yards
3. Team with most Passing Yards
4. Team winning the Turnover Battle.

All Stats will be taken from the official NFL.COM game centre of each game. Any ties in a category for 2,3 or 4 will be declared no bet.

As an example I have filled out my picks for the first game of the weekend, New Orleans @ Seattle in the NFC. This takes place on Saturday.

Please remember you should pick for all 4 games, and if you do not enter, you get 0 points.

I see this one being close. I'm not comfortable with the Jets to have most rush yards pick, as Indy's run D has been extremely strong of late (check out what they did against good run offenses in the last few weeks). Regardless, never bet against Peyton Manning at home, in a big game, or at night. Last time the Colts were the three seed they won the Superbowl.

Baltimore @ Kansas City (SUN)

Team to win - Kansas City (at the very least to beat the spread)
Most Rushing Yards - Kansas City
Most Passing Yards - Baltimore
Turnover Battle - Kansas City

I just have a feeling. Ive thought Baltimore were way overrated all year long. I dont think Baltimore match up well with the KC offense, and I think Baltimore have no explosiveness in their O.

This one is a coin flip. Everything rides on the fitness of the two QB's. Above I've assumed they will be OK. If Vick isn't OK to go at 100% I'm changing to Green Bay- I LOVE the Green Bay WR's against the Philly D backs.

Worst Pickup: V. Jackson. Got injured straight away, had him on the bench when he scored 3 TD's and then flopped a week later when I needed it most.

Worst Drop: D. Bryant. Worked out ok for me in the end when I got Manningham and injuries to Nicks/Smith but I missed out on his most productive period of the season.
