Restricting the number of subs to 3

I really dont see how reducing the number of subs back down to 3 would benefit the game in the slightest.

If you bring it right down to the grass roots level, it actually has the potential to reduce the number of young lads getting time.

This is the most sensible post yet. 

5 subs rule has been great IMO, nonsense to cut it to 3.  Never heard worse.

Why has it be great? Why would 5 be better than 3? What are you backing your argument up with? Would trialling something different not be worth it?
