Anyone have any stats on most posessions of the ball?
Just watched it back, Kilkenny must have had 30+ touches, all be it kicked it about twice, got his hands on a lot of ball and usually kept things moving.

74 minutes gone, sides level, Dublin got the break with the shot parried by the keeper...not sure how Mannion got MotM, had 2 poor wides in 2nd half.

A Friday night final...any ideas where? No floodlights in Longford...

Word on the street is that it will be in Parnell Park, one way or another.

Suits me - although I have bad memories of the final there in, what, 2005 or so, when we were 5 point up agin the Dubs with time almost up.
Jayo Sherlock came on and scored 2 goals and we lost by a point. Ouch.

Twas 2008, just dug out the programme!
PP would be handy for me too and has decent shelter.

Manning18 = Galway's version of Syferus.

What ever happened to Syferus?

Is there a deadline by which county championships have to be finished, this day 2 weeks?
Maybe semi finals next weekend, final sat/sun 11th?
Suppose it depends on any more covid cases 🙄

Is there any date for the county final yet? Match away to Derry in the league is the 17th October I think.

Suppose there wont be any crowd allowed attend it anyway, maybe 200 max.

Not the greatest game ever, very sloppy and a lot of unforced errors...exciting finish, Slashers could feel hard done by not to get another day out. Refs decision making was in keeping with the game

Seemingly Louth v Westmeath won't be played this weekend so surely this promotion places difficult to to call?
Good win for Longford today, agree with you Shamrock that it was decent games in conditions but don't think we can still go up?

Anybody know the actual attendance at final? "Full house" was announced at HT but a few empty seats here and there and no shortage of tickets knocking around beforehand. I've looked but no sign of a figure.

Why oh why did Longford not use bench? Whats the point of having subs if you dont utalise them...no point bringing 3 lads on with seconds left. It was deciding factor in the end as lads had run themselves into the ground.
