Quote from: thejuice on May 06, 2024, 08:31:28 AMIt would be great to see a real minnow win this. Hopefully Wicklow can do it.

Not sure about Antrim, they haven't really taken off under Andy McEntee. They were good against us last year in the semi final but I thought he'd have them promoted in the league.
Kildare have the talent obviously so if they got the finger out would be strong but I can't see it. Outside that you'd imagine Down and Fermanagh as highest ranking teams would be favourites.

Interested to see how Wicklow and Sligo go as I'd say one of their managers will be in with us within the next couple of years.
Fermanagh have never even won a provincial title . The ultimate minnows.

Ahead of the event at Malmö Arena, fans have also been warned not to bring Palestinian flags or symbols to the event or bags and have been told that there will be "vigorous security checks".

The terrorist threat level is on four points out of five, but the Swedish Police Authority has said that this is not related to the contest.

There is not expected to be protests until later in the week, when Israel's Eden Golan performs Hurricane at the second semi-final on Thursday

21% of people surveyed during the referendums believed that vaccines are dangerous,  per the Irish Times.

Israel denying there is a ceasefire sez RTÉ.
Israel doesn't want to stop killing Palestinians. It's the same people who executed the O'Kellys on the hanging hill  in Knockcroghery back in the day, more or less.

Those goalline dramas are never going to be given. There was another one in the club hurling final.

Quote from: seafoid on May 06, 2024, 10:28:41 AMDoes anyone have the statistics? Galway seemed to have been more efficient. Neither team were in peak condition either. Mayo lacked a bit of energy towards the end I thought.
Ultimately this match was only an appetiser

Quote from: Shamrock Shore on May 06, 2024, 10:15:13 AMOnly allows Dubs to

(i) Field previous years county champions as their teams less culchies with culchie clubs in previous 3 years.
(ii) Allow 3 wildcards to join them.
(iii) Play ALL their Leinster games outside of Croke Park. Make Portlaoise designated finals stadium for next 10 years.
Play leinster final as a surprise  in January so Longford can finally call a halt to the 15 in a row charade.

It only gets going with the 3rd set of games in the round Robin.

Not what I would tend to associate with Tipperary hurling

Taking a swipe at his critics in the county he declared: "We tend to love a good failure in Tipp. That is what disappoints me the most. We tend to love a good failure."

Medical teams are timing recoveries for around now according to Enda McGinley

Galway justified the faith of the bookies that the injury situation was not permanent and that cometh the hour, cometh the football.

Mayo weren't very off either. It was a compelling match.

Quote from: armaghniac on May 04, 2024, 06:46:32 PMIts a bit one sided. The home draw for the semi final significant.
Lucky in the GAA that we don't have home semi finals where blue teams can fill the stadium with their supporters and overawe the opposition.
the Dubs can't fill croke Park this time of the year after 14 in a row. Who is responsible for this?
The stadium is never going to be filled unless it's an AI final or at a stretch Dublin against either Mayo or Armagh in a semi final.
When has it ever been any different?
Croke Park has rarely ever sold out for anything but an All Ireland final. This isn't a new phenomenon.
The state of leinster football attendances certainly is.
