Can't say he added much of value to the common discourse, but its amazing what a phenomenon his show was back in the 90s.

I guess people enjoy watching outrageous behaviour and outbursts by trashy or bigoted morons.

The bit he did in the Austin Powers film was awesome!

Interesting back story and certainly made a name for himself.

Springer was born in a London Underground station on February 13, 1944, while it was being used as a bomb shelter.
His family - who had fled from Germany to England during the Holocaust
