Nah I know the over/under carry on, I'll post the bet direct from the website:

NFL
Date Price Match Price
7 Feb 10  -  23:25 10/11  New Orleans Saints v Indianapolis Colts (-5.5)  10/11      + 55

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NFL Pro Bowl
Date Price Match Price
1 Feb 10  -  00:30 10/11  AFC v NFC (-2.0)  10/11      + 2

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What website is it? I'll take a look. It doesn't look like the over under unless they are expecting a very titanic defensive struggle in the pro-bowl !!

I'm gutted if he retires, but as I said before I'm just delighted he played in Arzona and changed the culture there. Instead of being perennial 4-12 to 7-9 sort of team, he changed that to being Divisional Champs two times in a row, and playoff wins in both years.

Don't worry AZ, you guys have Matt Leinart. And by that, what I really mean to ask is what's your running game like?
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

What did ye make of the Pro Bowl?? I thought it was decent enough, not as many trick plays as usual though. The screen pass TD by DeSean Jackson was the highlight i thought.

Looks like Sky Sports are rerunning 'America's Game' in total this week. The stories of each superbowl team. 1970 Colts on, and the 1971 Cowboys. Dolphins from 72 on later.

They are, for the 45th time. Still enjoyable. The only two I haven't seen are the Giants in '07 and Steelers '08. Both are on at 11am and 12 noon this Saturday on Sky Sports 4.

Just watching the Colt's 1970 one there. I didn't realise Hightower from Police Academy had a superbowl ring, but there you go :D

Aye they drafted John Elway but he refused to play for them. so they traded his rights to the Broncos.

Yeah, there's like a love Triangle between Baltimore, Indianapolis and Cleveland. As you know the teams are franchises, rather than clubs, per se. So when a team moves the City is really just a designation of location, it's the nickname that stays constant, most times. Hence the Chicago Cardinals became the St. Louis Cardinals, became the Arizona (via Phoenix) Cardinals. The Rams were Los Angeles before Saint Louis. The Raiders were Oakland, then LA, then Oakland again.

Usually they move as the owners prostitute their teams for a new stadium or the like.

The Baltimore Colts moved to Indianapolis at 2am one morning, in 1983, in the dead of night using a fleet of trucks. It was mental, they all drove different routes to confuse the cops. There was a big furore over that.

Baltimore was without a team until they did unto Cleveland what Indy had done unto them, and in 1995 Art Model upped and left Cleveland, in a very similar fashion, but he had to leave the name, colours and 'history' with a city that had no team to fill it. Thus the Browns became the Ravens.

In 1999 the Browns were reborn, but the 1996-99 period is just treated as 'could not field a team' rather than seeing the team as being reformed. For example all Browns records are deemed to go back to the time when the original Browns were there. As far as I know, they are the only franchise that does that. The Cardinals hall of fame includes people who played in Chicago and St. Louis. The Rams, Colts et al is the same. However the Ravens' history begins in 1996. It's interesting stuff.

Elway was drafted out of Stanford by the Baltimore Colts in the early 80's but he refused to play for them, a la Eli Manning with the Chargers a few years ago. He said he would play baseball (he had played a bit of minor league) if they wouldnt release him so the Colts traded his rights to the Broncos, the rest is history.

Another sidenote is of the 14 teams that started pro football in 1920, only the Bears (erstwhile Decateur Staleys) and the Cardinals are still going.
