Actually enjoying S2 much more than S1.  Maybe because I gave up on the idea of it being a comedy, and more of a drama/mystery thing with one or two laughs an episode.  Still don't like the way over the top attempts at comedy that doesn't land (the sister and the closet gay son the worst offenders) but it's entertaining enough.   Agree that the God Squad stuff is just shit.

Nearly slipped past without noticing but I spotted a hugely famous GAAboarder on last week"s Mahon's Way. (It nearly slipped past because I put on Mahons Way to relax & promptly fall asleep everytime, so I only noticed the boul Orior at the 3rd attempt to watch the full episode).

Steve Martin and Martin Short are a brilliant comic double act, although Steve Martin is more of a straight man in this show.

Brilliant show. The writing, acting and locations are all top-class.
Although I do understand a lot of the "patois" and slang the subtitles are a must.
