All fixtures are with clubs today for Saturday and if there's county involvement Thursday 20th

On tyrone website it has everyone down for sat and has the next games for 23rd
I'm trying to decide on a really meaningful message..

Norf Tyrone

All games are on this Sat.

If you've a County man you are out again next Tues or Thurs.
If you've no Co men you are out for Rnd 3 on Sunday week.

Tyrone heading to Malaga for the weekend is a rumour.

Looks like Omagh are taking the fight to them, be interesting to see how this pans out!!!

My only question over this is the lack of notice. If want to have a strong county team have to have a bit of give and take. The easy option would have been to cancel the games and play them next October or November. A double weekend with option of Tuesday or Thursday night game seems like a fair compromise. Again only issue is that short notice for players but for most a 7.30 game with a bit of notice should be fine (as long as not huge distance involved).

County players will still play 6 games with their clubs between April and May and other couple in June which is far more than many other counties. The Armagh players in recent years haven't played with their clubs for up to a month before the first round of ulster. In Dublin Philly McMahon said he only played something like 4 clubs games last year. Donegal are away to New York this weekend.

After a poor finish to the league the county team probably need something different to give it a bit of lift. People are quick to give them abuse when going badly so should at least give them fair chance to prepare against other counties. If the games were being cancelled it certainly wouldn't be fair but a reschedule isn't the end of the world. Many club players would be training anyway. People are always complaining about Sunday fixtures, why not let the club players play next Thursday and give them the weekend of.

If they only 'know' there is a training weekend- apparently in Malaga- two weeks beforehand, it says something about organisation at County level IMHO.

would a training weekend away to malaga have been hastily organised after the kerry game? seems to be a total breakdown in communication between county management and county board.

Legoman5

Training wkend in Malaga? I find it hard to believe for a County whos players are having to fork out £15 for equipmient! Maybe though the County board now want to make a statement  tO everyone to see now how well treated there team is!

That is the issue, and its the big one.
2 weeks into the league, there is no excuse for the rearranging of fixtures already.
Club players have lives too that they are trying to plan around an ever changing club schedule and it is incredibly unfair.
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

Considering there is absolutely no regards to this rule being shown by our county board, should club teams not now start playing their minors? I see Loughmacrory have 5 lads on the panel, surely then they should be allowed to play as this rule is clearly not being listened to. I would love to see the reaction of the county board if all the minors played for their clubs on that Thursday night!

More power to them, what route are they taking?

I'm absolutely sure the players of all clubs would go on strike in order to get this resolved. They are being treated worse than dirt and a couple more weeks or months of pain to bring it to a head would soon sort it out. The club players need to align their approach and stick it to the CB.

Real hardline action is required here, a blanket refusal to play games is the answer.

Which CB officer (role) is responsible for the setting of fixtures? Time to get someone into that position with a spine who is going to apply the rules and treat club players with respect.

redhandefender

After that performance in Kerry I wouldn't even be forking out for a training weekend in the derg!

Hotrocks

with all the millions pumped into a state of the art training facility in Ballygawley why do they feel the need to waste more money and more importantly clubs time by heading to Malaga?!

longballin

Is GAA just going to turn a blind eye to this? CPA not saying much either
