Ruby was shite today. Staying in tonight  :-\

I'll probably sound like Ted tidying up on rte for him but didnt see that Ruby did much wrong today Lecale.  The two fallers were beaten at the time.  Kauto Stone might be like the half brother and hate the rain.

Kauto Stone might be like his full-brother (Kauto Relko) and just be shite! Nicholls' horses ran poorly today and yesterday but he always tends to have a bit of a lean spell at this time of year.

Straightforward opportunity for Micky D tomorrow as he continues on the comeback trail. Thought he was gone at the start of the season but he looks like he's getting back to some sort of form. Very impressed with the way he galloped to the line at Naas last time. Interesting place chance for the Stayers Hurdle.

You're right! Just pissed off at losing.  :(

Might be a bit of hype about Kauto Stone alright but dont think he is shite... won a grade 1 uner Paul Carberry at Down Royal and would have won aTingle Creek if Sizing stayed at home. Think he might be better than he showed today,

I don't think he's up to much to be honest. The Down Royal race was very soft - Roi Du Mee who finished second is very moderate. He was twenty lengths behind Apt Approach at Tramore over Christmas and that horse was mullered by Rubi Light today. Blazing Tempo probably didn't run to form off the back of a very hard race in the Kerry National.

Interestingly Liz Doyle has another unraced half-brother who holds entries next week.

Tingle Creek 2nd though ?

Was Kauto Stone the one Ruby talked about training for National ?

Probably wasn't a particularly strong renewal of the Tingle Creek. The English two milers are as bad as our three milers. Sizing won it with any amount in hand and it will probably be the same stroy at Cheltenham.

Can't imagine Kauto Stone will ever be asked to jump the big fences at Liverpool. I've never seen him in the flesh but he appears to be quite a small horse judging by the tv pictures.

Nicholls worried about yard. Some horses coughinh and has cancelled a media day on Wednesday.

Anyone know much about this Moscow Mannon in the champion bumper. Hearing that JP is mad to get buying it.

Owner should be biting his arm off IMO.

What' Jps obsession with buying bumper horses?Apparently he forked out big bucks for venture capital and Thomas Edison too.He could do with taking a leaf out of the Gigginstown book and pick up a few point to pointers!

O'Leary has bought his share of duds too to be fair. His business like approach is not comparable to McManus though. O'Leary sells on any of his horses that aren't deemed up to scratch every summer. JP is in the game purely because it is his passion. He very rarely will sell a horse on or move the horse to a different yard - apart from a few regressive types that are sent from yards over here to race in lower grades over in England (Arbor Supreme gone from Mullins' to Jonjo's recently for example).

Fail to see the reasoning behind the obsession with buying up bumper horses. Bumpers are essentially schooling races whatever way they're dressed up. At least in p2ps you get an idea of whether a horse can actually jump. The list of top bumper animals that have failed over obstacles is endless. I was personally fortunate to have part owned two horses that won bumpers. We sold both of them after they had won their bumpers but neither of them ever won, or even came near to winning, a race over timber. Contrast that to Moscow Flyer who couldn't win a bumper in four attempts.
