It would be for the greater good if these selfish, revolting people were given sentences along the lines of murder.

Something somewhere has to able to strike fear in anyone inclined to do this.

On the other hand there is the small matter of the planet we live on. What's the plan here? Openly chose to do nothing and ignore the consequences? Pretend there aren't going to be any consequences and yet live through them? Or keep going the way we have been going?

Waste of time. We (Ireland and UK) are tiny in comparison to China and India. EVs, separating your rubbish, buying a wooden toothbrush, it all makes you feel good but it is pointless. Utterly pointless. What we need is for science to solve the problem through some not yet invented technology. Otherwise we're fucked and Keady won't be the only uninhabitable place on the planet.

No harm to you but that is an infantile response.

Why are you choosing UK and Ireland?
In any event is Uk not in a very good position to exert influence?
Why are environmental actions pointless? Would having cleaner air not be beneficial? Would reducing climate impacts not be beneficial?
Sitting waiting on a magic bullet. Now that is pointless. And just a waste of your time but a waste of your opportunity to something decent that could benefit you, people around you, people across the globe and the peoples of the future.

No.

If the thread is turning into a climate change thread, what are the per capita rates?

Not what I was driving at. Rules in the UK can have huge global significance. The amount of deals funded or contracted through London is huge. A rule change in the UK can have global significance

Would you quit with your logical questions.

If we off shore manufacturing to countries with massive populations and then add the emissions from manufacturing goods for our consumption on to their carbon footprint then sure our consciences are clear. Even if their per capita footprint is a fraction of ours AFTER the offshoring.

quit yo jibbajabba

Anyway. What about the snooker eh?!

Not sure how true thus is but heard Allen is experiencing relationship problems again.  Bloody women

Yep. He broke off his engagement a few months before the wedding. Who knows what shape his head's in.

Sorry to derail the climate change chat in a snooker thread but we have a 147. Kyren Wilson in this mornings sessions. The last 2 blacks and red were superb shots.

There would have been a big release of methane gas from Wilson as he was playing his last few shots so unfortunately not. Bring back the protestors.

quit yo jibbajabba

Hospitals are not equipped to treat stupid

It's been a poor world championship so far. No standout 2nd round match. Hopefully the quarters will liven the thing up. Selby/Higgins has the potential to be a classic though could be one for the purists.

Mark Allen is tipping along nicely.

trailer

Snooker is lacking characters. Even O'Sullivan probably the greatest ever, is sooooo unhappy. When I hear him talk I want to jump off a cliff. Like cheer up ffs. Lots of them seem quite unlikeable. Selby is boring. The least said about Allen the better. Shaun Murphy, Judd Trump, Stuart Bingham, Ali Carter, Mark Williams. All utterly forgettable characters.

That's the problem with snooker.

What does being a character entail? It's becoming a bit of a cliche now regularly said about snooker players.

They're boring c***ts. So the inverse of that I suppose.
