Free-takers, please, free-takers

what are these? we haven't had any in ages.

Plenty of players masquerading as free kickers but none too reliable unless it is O'Fiaich Cup or McKenna Cup......
Thank God for the O'Fiaich and McKenna Cups, only for them MH would have been packed off years ago! He has created a smokescreen that success is on its way cos we are winning (But winning what??)!!

All this talk of who has the best championship is futile to be honest! Of the past 20 senior club championships something like 17 have been won by eithor Armagh (ie Cross) or Derry teams, that stat is enough to say Tyrone teams just aren't good enough when they come out of Tyrone, but the same can also be said about Cavan, Donegal, Down etc!

I cant see any team in Tyrone making that breakthrough anytime soon, too many teams at the same sort of level.

JP, out of interest who would you have in as a replacement? This isn't an argument that I think Mickey is irreplaceable by the way.
MH needs to be replaced soon, he cant go on forever. He casts asides players that are good enough but arent "his type", this was ok in they '00s when the backbone of the team were basically irreplaceable, but not now. And thats besides the rubbish were supposed to go to watch in the form of a "system".

If i want my children to play for tyrone do i need to get them to train hard but also learn the novena?

Logan, canavan is an option. As is Malachy orourke. But ask yourself the question, if he had to have walked away in eithor 08 or '10 (an absolute legend of the game) and someone else came in and had overseen the past 6-8yrs, would they still be in charge?? We all know the answer!

Reliably told Club Tyrone threatened to pull their funding if he wasn't ratified last time. Don't worry the blanket is here to stay...
Getting bored with this, we waste our well earned money going to watch the muck we are producing and he still gets to stay! So if he was to go what would Club Tyrone do with the money?

MH is obviously becoming more deluded than Wenger, its not his county team / county board it belongs to us all! Thanks for the memories Mickey but please go with dignity!

Was very impressed from what I saw of Tyrone in the league final of 2013 ( I think). Had us beaten but for some class finishing by Dean Rock towards the end.  Looked to me then a team primed to make the next step forward to be serious AI contenders. Think they have plateaued (sic) since then.

Keep saying it but the current team does not have the quality of forwards the 00s team had and at the end of the day it is class forwards that win you AIs.
Completely agree! This "poor me" routine is a joke, Tyrone were able to use the dark arts to win Sam and could gloat when anyone complained, now when its used against us all you hear is whinging! O'Se has actually hit the nail on the head, MH and Sean should have been gracious in defeat instead of coming out crying like a baby! Sean's only damaging his own legacy.
Donaghy and Gooch have received some "attention" over the years and have taken it! I remember Ricey saying he never bothered with Stevie McDonnell as there was no point! Which meant he done it to a hell of alot more than him!

I love the auld "ahh they're just jealous and are settling old scores" line when someone has a go at us! Lets face facts the antics of a number of Tyrone players this year and for the past number of years has not been of the highest standard! And yes other counties are at it, but not to the extent and degree Tyrone are. This running and shouting into peoples faces continuously is not good to watch and not setting a good example to young fans, its saying that it is acceptable, as MH is condoning it. But not only that, against the better quality teams its actually giving them additional motivation, which it did to Mayo eg Aidan O'Shea - play with fire and you'll get burned!

Ex-players have a go, but when we were winning they had opinions and it wasnt seen as having a go! Because we seem to be at a level below the top table it stinks when i hear "ahh theyre settling old scores" - when actually they arent, they are stating facts, that in this case the majority of the general public agree with. Jordan wrote about Tyrone having to sort out attacking options, is that an ex-player having a go?!? No stating facts!

In my opinion MH and Sean made tits of themselves after the game and in subsequent interviews. Sean gave an interview which wasnt 2mins after the game in which he complained about players being targetted! Now that stinks and Tyrone have never had to whinge in public before cos they were able to do their answering on the pitch! This whinging is nearly as bad as Armaghs public statement on the Sunday Game! Sean is really been seen in a bad light here and looks like hes crying for attention, or maybe its a "please Sean dont quit" plea.

Im going to keep saying it - Mickey has set this standard and condones, if not encourages it and needs to go!

FFS, and Harte decides he's staying on! Calling the panel together and planning for next year! At what stage does someone say thanks for your great service but please step aside and let someone in with fresh ideas!

County board are obviously powerless!

Not long home, bitterly disappointed with how things panned out. Huge congratulations to Mayo, always give it a 100% on the pitch and backed by a great bunch of supporters.

Two things leave a bitter taste in my mouth. Firstly, the ridiculousness of our free taking set up and how this is crucifying us and secondly this shite some of our defenders are at. Ronan McNamee has to take a long hard look at himself after the bullshit I witnessed in the first half in front of me. He made a great dispossession of AoS when first ball came in but made a total dick of himself with his actions afterwards. I really struggle to understand what advantage he thinks he gains from it. Does he really think the forward Will cower away for the remainder of the game? Justy McMahon is another serial offender and is one of the most civil lads you could meet off the pitch. I help coach the u-6s in my local club and if I saw them at that when they were older I'd haul them off immediately and give them a kick up the hole.

Lots to discuss but needed to get that off my chest. Really do hope the Mayo bucks go on and win the thing. However, watching the dubs afterwards doesn't fill me with confidence.
Mickey obviously at the very least condones this behaviour, or at worst encourages it. Unless he wins another Sam his legacy is going to be tainted by this behaviour! Its no coincidence that too many of the Tyrone players spend half their time goading opposition players! And i think its getting worse, would Horse have any influence?? This whole thing leaves bad taste and sets an extremely bad example to our children! Maybe Mickey should be asked to explain that instead of yapping about the "targetting" of Sean!!

Mickey is obviously frustrated at the loss of a great opportunity to get to a final, and though it's probably understandable he would have been better off saying nothing.
Agreed! See it as sour grapes and, worse still, hypocricy, but also a stab at getting Sean to stay on another year.

Cringe!! Sean has mastered getting cards for other players by whatever means and we've never complained, sometimes what goes around comes around. In the past few years he has started to get involved in things he shouldn't, even in club games Mickey should know that there are players in the current team and in past teams that have targetted big players on other teams and he hasnt condemned them!
Mickey really should do whats right and congratulate the winning team, this just stinks of sour grapes!

Said it at earlier this year, but Mickeys time is up! He has overseen mediocricy now for 8yrs, in what other county would that be accepted? Time to give a younger man with fresh ideas a chance.

And not even going to get into his media ban with certain media outlet, its not doing Tyrone GAA any favours. Time for county board to grow a set, if he doesn't do the honourable thing!

Best team won, only for alot of softish frees we struggled up front. And as for McCurry, great in mckenna cup against average footballers but lacks composure when it matters!

Really hope Mayo can you break their duck and take Sam this year! Which at least woukd be some consolation!

Armagh to win, but be the real losers in the end.

Fielding a team will be the problem...2 Clann Eireann minors brought into squad i believe...(thats what i was told this morning anyway)

Chances of Laois buying this little ruse? 0%

Heard today they have pulled a few recent retirees and 4/5 minors due to injuries! That's eithor desperation or giving up on this year and looking to next year?!?!??

Seamus McEneaney on RTE today agreeing with Brolly on McGeeney. Basically saying that certain players in Armagh not playing because of McGeeney. Regardless of who's right or wrong, their results are awful and getting worse.
does he ever say anything about Down?
He wont say anything about Down, he'd rather reminisce about the good auld days in the early 90's with his Down mates, and sure Greg Blaney is heavily involved in his club along with alot of other Down men! Sure we all know he has a personal vendetta against McGeeney and he has a platform to exact his "revenge". Mind you Armagh and McGeeney aren't exactly helping themselves!

Do people actually want this stadium? I for one dont! Sorry we need a stadium capable of holding say 25-30k but just not in that sh1thole! I've been to many matches there and its generally missing atmosphere. And at least you can park in any other ground in Ireland and your car will be there when you come back!

Time to end this farce and pick an area where the GAA is appreciated and generate that area. End the Shinner agenda!
How many cars have been stolen from attendees at Casement during GAA matches?
I personally know 2 people and have heard stories of others! Anyway 1 is too many! Andytown is just the wrong location. Its people playing politics in sport!
