Boxing writer Bert Randolph Sugar has passed away, always enjoyed his views on the old boxing champions!

Bert Sugar was ESPN classics this evening talking about boxing's greatest rivalries. They were chatting about Holyfield v Bowe and Bert was recalling the second fight when the "Fan Man" interrupted the fight. He said that he'd heard of football matches and Baseball matches being stopped on account of bad weather but he'd never heard of a match being stopped on account of "schmucks". Great line, great man to listen to. RIP
That was never a square ball!!

Bernard Noël "Barney" McKenna
Banjo Barney from Donnycarney
December 16, 1939-April 5, 2012

had a great time seeing him play in the dubliners the lat few years. A bit slow on foot but his plucking fingers nor his wit lost none of their sharpness. RIP
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Very sorry to hear this. I only ever saw the Dubliners once, 20 years ago at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury.

Was it Barney who said when introduced to Ted Kennedy "sorry about the brothers".
