Lengthy ban coming for a GAA manager mooted on radio earlier. Any ideas?

McGeeney! 12wks. Considering Davy got 8wks what did he do to get 12?????

Verbal altercation with McQuillan during the Antrim game where McQuillan was linesman it seems. Joke decision considering the Davy Fitz suspension.

Ye gotta realise that there is a different tolerance for hurling misdemeanours. An 8wk in hurling would probably be a life ban in football.

How is it a joke decision when you havent the first clue of the facts. It was clear what Davey Fitz did, not clear what McGeeney did. You dont get 12 wks for nothing so pipe down with your "joke decision" nonsense

My only experience at first hand with O'Connor was as umpire in a NFL game about 10years ago. Friend of mine was refereeing and the word among referees is that O'Connor liked to try and intimidate them. We were sitting in our dressing room at HT about to go back on the pitch when a bang came to the door. It was O'Connor roaring like a lunatic about how many frees they got when compared to the oppisition. My friend asked him to leave and a steward escorted him back to the pitch. My friend was not happy with this little stunt but he did give them a penalty in 2nd half and Kerry won by 3 or 4 points!. I was at the All Ireland final later that year and watched on as O'Conner ran down the tunnell after the referee at HT.
To hear that he verbally attacked the referee last Saturday is disgraceful especially as they were beaten off the pitch by Galway.

O'Connor is a disgrace. Gets his tactics badly wrong and put the blame on match officials, he was in Rory Hickey ear towards the end of game. If Galway had their shooting boots would have won that game by 10/15 points.

Is "consulting" with Moorefield so you can probably add a Kildare Senior Club and Leinster Senior Club to his list of achievements.

No doubt, as does 99% of outside coaches/manager/consultants etc. And money well spent.

Was interesting to see him on the line yesterday. Didn't realise he was involved to that extent with Moorefield. I'd assume Glavin must have asked or agreed to him getting involved at least, so he probably has added something to their setup.

Glavin definitely agreed to it. He is a novice manager, only 32 years old, and is a smart guy. The chance to learn from someone like O'Connor is not one to be missed.

Hasn't he a son or is it 2 playing for Moorefield??
