Attack him all the time about everyone, even for saying things that Democrats are saying themselves

It's wearing thin and it's not working

Don't know if you're a Jonah Goldberg fan whitey, but he seems to share at least some of your stated misgivings about Trump:

I like Jonah Goldberg

I would consider myself somewhat of a "Never Trumper"

There are so many smart and accomplished people in the Republican Party and this clown has hijacked it.

The problem is if the Republicans put up a centrist, like Romney, the Democrats will just completely assassinate his/her character (in the same way the Republicans did to Obama).  So fvck it, in for a penny in for a pound......fight fire with fire and give them a set of brass knuckles right into the mouth

From my vantage point the Democrats are as big a shower of cvnts as Trump and his followers. Fabricating phony dossiers and feeding them to partisan FBI agents to spy on a campaign is about as low as anything Trump ever did. It puts Watergate in the Hapenny place

So by constantly being outraged about everything all the time, the Democrats are actually helping Trump because people have just tuned out.

If anyone wants to really understand what's happening with Trump read "The Fifth Risk" by Michael Lewis

He should resign by the end of the day (if that's what he actually said)

You can view what he said in the video at the link. He will walk it back somehow and suffer no real consequences.

Is anyone shocked by the guy who did this commercial?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Q1cfjh6VfE

No doubt he's some element of fundamentalist christian too who's "skeptical" of science and "experts".

I wonder if the old truck and the chainsaw are even his own?

Gabriel_Hurl

Probably not.

Meanwhile, one of his state's senators is making a name for herself. She should be in jail.

QuoteU.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler's most recent financial disclosures show that millions of dollars in stocks were sold on her behalf at the same time Congress was dealing with the impact of the coronavirus.

The largest transactions — and the most politically problematic — involve $18.7 million in sales of Intercontinental Exchange stock in three separate deals dated Feb. 26 and March 11. Loeffler is a former executive with ICE, and her husband, Jeff Sprecher, is the CEO of the company, which owns the New York Stock Exchange among other financial marketplaces.

During the same time period reflected on reports filed late Tuesday, the couple also sold shares in retail stores such as Lululemon and T.J. Maxx and invested in a company that makes COVID-19 protective garments. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution got the first look at these reports, covering mid-February through mid-March and shedding new light on Loeffler's financial transactions during the pandemic. Previous reports — which have put Loeffler in the national spotlight — covered her trading during the first six weeks of 2020.

Loeffler provided the numbers to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and they were more exact than what would appear on a federal campaign finance disclosure.

While it makes a for good headline I'm not sure there's a whole lot here. There were several well respected Wall Street figures publicly predicting at least a 50% drop in the stock market by Mid February. Plus she doesn't trade her own portfolio. For anything to be considered "insider trading" they must be acting in information that both is material and non public......the information was public by the time her advisor acted in it

Burr is the one who's in real trouble.

J70

I haven't followed it since the initial headlines came out, but was her conduct not similar to Burr's?

You'd think these poltiicians would learn after Rep. Chris Collins was convicted and is now sitting waiting to go to prison.

Well perception is everything.....the actions of both appear inappropriate

The difference is (1) he traded his own account and placed his own trades (2) he placed the trades before it was publicly known what the outcome could be after having received a classified briefing (3) he placed the trades while publicly talking up the economy and stock market

Its hard to ridicule anyone from the states when he have the elected nutjobs saying they believe in Noah's Ark and that God has created the Corona to punish us for abortion   :o
