I see John Lennon starts at centre forward on Sunday. Will Dunphy in the half forwards too.

I see where Michael Duignan is warning Wexford against complacency and having their eye on KK in Wexford Park. He says that Laois at home have performed very well over the years and in Willie Hyland and Stephen Maher have forwards who can out up big scores.

I like Duignan as a commentator and have seen him attend games in O'Moore Park but his knowledge of the hurling scene in Laois is very poor. With all respect to Picky he has been far from a major threat this year either. Me thinks Duignan is being somewhat complacent too.

In fairness Cork just tore into Tipp with a level of physicality and intensity that Tipp just couldn't compete with. They also won a serious amount of primary possession. The half back line bossed the Tipp half forwards.

I am not sure if we can bring that level to our game and sustain it for 70 minutes against Wexford. We can do it against Kerry and did in the relegation playoff but I certainly couldn't see us doing a Cork on it.

You could almost split Laois down the centre with Portlaoise in the middle. East of Portlaoise would almost be exclusively football and west would be hurling. Obviously there would be some clubs around the middle who are both hurling and football but for most the split holds. The hurling area of Laois borders North Tipp/South Offaly.

Is Ben Conroy injured?

I know that but when and why did it become stand alone? It's been a good while now and as I said just curious considering Ulster have still kept it up.

It's looking like Cahir won't be available to start on Sunday and Paddy Whelan is also out. Good news is Willie Dunphy is back and Cian Taylor is also back fit.

Any suggestion on a starting team. I assume it will be along simlar lines to the RR minus P Whelan.

Picky out to half forward maybe and Dunphy in the corner. The rest will start as they did against Kerry.

Curious to know why Leinster minor games are not on before senior games anymore. Ulster had minor on last week before senior game and again this week. Always enjoyed going in early to watch the minor game.

When was the last time O'Moore Park was full. Not just the stand but the terraces aswell.  I can't remember and they've qualifier double headers.

A score of 2-12 with 1-03 from play is impressive even if it's just a league game. Plenty of intercounty experience as well. Pity he isn't a teak tough defender.

I see where Eoin Reilly clocked up a score in the league. Is he still involved with the county panel?

Tullamore is nothing but misery for Laois in recent times. Much prefer to be playing them in Carlow. Good win yesterday down to the goals and we'll need as many again if we're to have any chance against Kildare.

Waterford in their quest for an All Ireland will have benefitted most from yesterdays result. I can see them winning Munster now and going to the AI semi final. They will avoid Tipp because I think Galway will put them out of the championship.
