Mullin and McLaughlin named to start. DOC on the bench, Durcan not named in the squad. AOS partnering Ruane in midfield.

Have a spare ticket for today's match if anyone knows of anyone looking to go, happy to give it away so as it doesn't go to waste.

No single tickets available, only pods of 2/3/4/5. Were there single tickets available when they went on sale?

I'm sure he'd be welcome back in Mayo if he's stuck for something to be at
Might not be a bad thing, we've been woeful defensively in this campaign and our tackling isn't what it used to be.

Not a whole lot of logic to the Mayo selection for tomorrow, even considering the unavailability of players. Given it's a home game we need to get something out of you'd swear we've conceded it with that team. Starting Clarke against a team that destroyed his kick out the last time they met, a back six with only one player starting in his natural position, starting Flynn who's been a liability in the league so far and not much change to a forward selection that isn't exactly carving oppositions apart. Definitely worried that relegation is becoming a very real prospect now.

One of the lads I play a bit of football with is a referee and we had a discussion on it a good while back, his interpretation was that if the blocker's foot made contact with with ball while it was still in contact with the kickers foot it was a stonewall free. However if the ball had left the kickers foot and the blockers foot then made contact with the ball he generally wouldn't whistle it up. Didn't see the incident myself so can't give an opinion on it but just thought I'd mention one ref's interpretation.

I'd say if you look back at Dublin matches over the last two to three years you'd see the amount of times Dublin players are moving into attacking positions before possession is secured from restarts. I would safely say there is a lot of pre planned movement drilled into this Dublin team, it means players are making runs into the right areas in anticipation of possession being won, buying them that extra second or two and metre or two of space that can make a huge difference. I think it'd be fair to say that most play in football is reactive, ie players wait for possession to be won before reacting and moving accordingly. I'd class what Dublin do as a more proactive approach, they're moving without having to think about where they're supposed to be and what they're supposed to be doing. The pace at which the game moves now that little bit of time and space is invaluable.

Big factor for me will be if Dublin can get Fenton into the game in a big way. I didn't imagine he would be as anonymous as he was in the drawn game. It would seem that Kerry and Jack Barry have his number based on their last few meetings. If Fenton can get more involved, winning possession and getting on the ball more than the last day it'd be a big swing towards Dublin imo.

Thanks for the above honesty, i would never give up, think of the euphoria when it does happen.

Surprised nobody mentioned Donal Vaughan getting a straight red for striking John Small, Small was going to be sent off, all Donal Vaughan had to do was keep his head, hands  by his side and turn away but no, he couldnt resist. What a difference that would have made to Mayo, 15 v 14 with a good chunk of the game left.
Plus a tap over free from the 21 that was reversed to a hop ball. Add to Cillian's free off the upright, Jason Doherty taking a shot for goal on Cluxton from too far out and Clarke kicking out over the sideline near the end. Enough moments there under the players' control to have made a difference. Nothing to do with refs, management or bad luck.

Indo reporting today that Keith Higgins and Paddy Durcan are fit for Saturday, while Diarmuid O'Connor is in contention to make an appearance, too soon for Mattie Ruane though.

Away in Philadelphia this weekend with work. By any small chance does anyone here know of anywhere in downtown Philly that might be showing the game??? ???

you could try Tir na Og on Arch Street behind the City Hall.  I was there a few months back and they were showing games.
Thanks a mill, appreciate it.👍🏻

Carr, Reape and diskin all played club tonight, something amiss , wasn't all bull

Moy Davitts weren't playing tonight. Unless it was a challenge match.

Are you sure Farr ?  Aradgh mustof ,Carr definitely played seen a report on his free kicks , do you find that ridiculous, the forward that stood out a mile in the league final . I knew there was something up the last day , Horan never namecheked him as an injury concern right up to the game , wasn't in the programme and then he was all of a sudden injured the day before ros game in post match interviews. Rumours flying about all week , some of them were true .
Nothing dodgy or sinister Larry, just Horan slowly reverting back to type, despite the progress and promise he seemed to show during the league. An unwillingness or inability to show faith in anyone outside of a set group of players and in anything outside of set team selections or tactics. The Roscommon game showed up his old failings again, no protection of our backline, overemphasis on pushing up numbers leaving us highly vulnerable to the counter attack especially with the long ball in, reluctance to make substitutions or making the wrong ones. Same flaws that tripped us up in 2012, 13 and 14. That performance and tonight's selection makes it appear that way. I hope I'm wrong.
