Quote from: Look-Up! on Today at 09:42:31 AMWhat's people's take on Chelsea and Pochettino? Gets a very easy ride from the press compared to Utd, although if they win tonight they'll only be 3 points behind them.

With that squad though, surely they should be contenders. If they have everyone fit next year, a good manager should be at least competing for CL, and if City regress, a title. If they can't, you'd imagine huge financial implications are coming down the line.

If Abrahamovich was still there would be well gone. All the money wasted spent lack a decent no 9 and goalie. Conor Gallagher as captain shows lack of leaders in the group too.
Defensively poor too for a team that need to improve up front. Doesn't seem to be much structure to them, not that I see much of them. Maybe that's the problem, squad too big with loads of talent means they don't stick to a system or settled 11. Probably need a manager who's a c**t.

I would imagine   smart phones and therefore, shorter attention spans , to blame for the  decline in snooker viewers. Netflix as  well

This. I may have half started it so I feel partly responsible 🤭

I had other points to raise but I'm fcuked if I'm going there now lol

I've looked at certain sports/sport stars over the years and thought they were boring twats, in snooker ya had Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry, just machines at the time and focused on nothing else, Golf/tennis was the same with the newer generation, but since Netflix has done various inside documentary type shows its really brought about a different perspective on these sports and sportsmen/women, in a more positive light

Not that I think Netflix will go near snooker just yet as the global appeal might not be there.

But loving the banter here though ;D

Snapchap will be straight on to Netflix to make sure they feature Mark Williams ;D

Generally I found a capo and avoiding barre chords helped with my patience  ;)

In fairness, I found it's just getting reps more than anything.I'd struggle to learn now as I go through phases where I play flat out every day and then don't look at a guitar for weeks.

Learn the Bm chord
https://www.uberchord.com/blog/b-minor-chord-on-guitar-chord-shapes-minor-scale-popular-songs/

Now it's very a moody chord, but great for so many songs, particular the brooding Irish folk song like Ride On (modern one I know by Jimmy McCarthy).

But that finger shape will then let you move up and down the frets, particularly if you use it on the top A D G strings. It you want to take it up a notch from plaintive Celtic sad songs, you can start on E, and then play Eddie Cochran's C'mon Everybody. Even with muffled strings will sound great.

Another good Guitar tip is to use a Mnemonic to remember the strings. I still use two I found on the internet: Every Acid Dealer Gets Busted Eventually/Elephants And Donkeys Grow Big Ears

Mark Allen will be the World number 1 https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/snooker/world-no1-mark-allen-i-have-achieved-one-of-my-lifetime-goals/a524920986.html

His best performance in the World Championship is reaching the semi-final twice.

Some w**k from Co Down on the radio proclaiming that the A5 is not dangerous. People just need to drive with more care.

He says a new road would be a waste of money that is needed elsewhere and too much good farming land would be lost!!

Probably been on it twice in his life!
