Anyone got access to the membership numbers per club, it was posted on here before.

https://tyronegaa.ie/county-board/downloads-resources/coiste-thir-eoghain-annual-reports-2006-2015/

It's P86 of the 2019 report.

I dont think the official membership gives an accurate indication of actual playing/volunteer/supporter base.

Some adults will only register as a member with a club to get access to Tyrone tickets.

Also, looking at Donaghmore's youth registration number of 95 - this does not seem correct considering they are fielding 2 teams at u14 & u16 level, which including u18 level would indicate at least 75 players. This doesnt even include go-games level, or their girls?

Would Strabane not tend to  favour the soccer ball ?
Dungannon have a very progressive Hurling club and both working hard.
There are 4 clubs in the Omagh area, although Omagh are doing massive work at underage, reintroducing hurling and camogie.
Cookstown is a bit of a conundrum?

Dungannon had a lotta hoods too!

Interestingly i see Strabane beat Dungannon in grade 1 minor championship last night so they must be doing something right.
Strong town teams are good for the whole county in my view. They definitely tend to get it tougher translating youth players into senior players. Whether soccerball or other sports is a factor is one thing but i also think that these clubs just don't have the same community ethos as some country clubs where it's almost civic duty to keep togging out.

No. You're still supposed to isolate even if you get tested.

Oh right wasn't sure...what is the Gaa ruling on a missing player?? I would presume game will go ahead...

GetOverTheBar

The game will go ahead, he won't - or should not, be in nets.

So if he does play what happens nothing?

GetOverTheBar

Wouldn't expect anything to happen. Suppose Donnelly could say he was remote working at the time and not in contact with them. I would expect he's been back at Kingspan since Ulster started back as a whole some weeks ago. I'm sure he's been subject to testing too.

How is it any different to the Eglish / Aghaloo situation? If he tests negative why would he still have to isolate?

Because that's the guidance?

If you test negative (the test did not find coronavirus):

keep self-isolating for 14 days from when you were last in contact with the person who has coronavirus – as you could get symptoms after being tested
anyone you live with can stop self-isolating if they do not have symptoms
anyone in your support bubble can stop self-isolating if they do not have symptoms

Ok, the rules are the rules but why were the senior teams of Eglish and Aghaloo cleared to play after 7 days?

Who knows at this stage  :-\ Guidance seems to change that often it's hard to keep track.

From the above both teams should have been cleared immediately, just the tested player to remain isolated. However these are shifting goalposts, who knows what the rule was then.

Thankfully we don't spend a fortune on mercenaries so have been able to have private testing for the team which hasn't found any positive cases so he'll be playing!

If he is deemed to be a close contact to the positive covid tested players, he will still need to isolate, whether his own test was negative or not.
