I think that is the case exactly Hound. I see Liverpool playing 3-5-2 next season. At the moment the team would be along the lines of Reina, Finnan, Carra, Agger, Pennant, Sissoko, Alonso, Gerrard, Riise, Kuyt, Bellamy.

I wouldn't mind that to be honest.

Well Sissoko, Alonso and Gerrard are going to be battling for 2 positions as it is. Another one will add to the confusion there. And then Stevie G can do a big sulk if he's on the right to accomodate Mascherano.

No need to say Steven Gerrard is not a central midfielder. We've heard it before.

Fair play to the fans that identify the cheats in their own club. Well done to the writer, and to other Gunners fans who have no time for this sort of thing.

The same shite rankles me with Luis Garcia at Anfield, and Chelsea fans have voiced their disapproval with Drogba in the past.

It seems as if the fans are the only ones with a real interest in driving diving out of soccer.

QuoteThe problem is too many people, Gaels included, underestimated the significance of the GAA's gesture and now think its a free for all

That was always likely to be a problem haze, unless the GAA did a very good PR job and managed expectations. To the man in the street it must seem very confusing that only certain types of rugby games are acceptable, especially since there is, as I've said, a big common supporter base.

Yeah. The topic needs to be changed as well, i.e. it wasn't the Limerick Mayor who said this.

Also regarding rugby people saying, 'why wouldn't we play in Croker, we paid for half of it'. Well that might be true in a sense. There is a huge crossover in rugby and GAA supporters down here. Members of Newport RFC for example, will head to Thurles when their game is over to watch Tipp and Limerick or whatever. There are also a huge number who play both. Any Munster fan I know would also be a big Kerry/Limerick/Tipperary/ahem Offaly fan as well. So to a certain extent when they say they paid for Croker, they are right. They paid for it, along with the hundreds of thousands of other GAA followers throughout the land.

I don't think they are making a huge political statement.

Yep.

And we'll get Barcelona kicked out of the CL as well. It;s our only hope.

Why would  LFC want Maschereno though? When Sissoko comes back there'll be a plethora of midfielders again.

Does Mervue not still exist? they were handy underage back in my day. We (Ferbane-Belmont) beat them in an All Ireland Minor Club Final. They beat Nemo Rangers in the Semi.

Yeah, changing for 10am is tough, especially when they don't tee off until about 3 pm our time. The round before is only just finished a few hours at that stage :)

This fell all the way down to page 7. Are people still doing it? I think it's quite good actually, even though I forgot to change it in time for last weeks tournament. Pity there isn't a weekly matchup element to it, like the NFL and MLB ones though.

Oooh Oooh I know this. (I think)

Would it be the little Danish fella, Alan Simonsen?

Ah, sorry AFR. I didn't see the title. I thought this was your own version of kicking us when we are down.

It was muck last night, and it was muck against the Blues at Goodison, the Arse 3 times now, and yerselves at Old Trafford. That is not acceptable, and Rafa would be foolish to take support of the club when they are in trouble as a mandate for things to continue along those lines.

I know money is only a quick fix, and the ethics and attitude of the club have to be in place first, but until Liverpool can compete for the signatures of the likes of Rooney, Ballack, etc etc, then they will not win the league. However there is a difference between not winning the league, and not being competitive. LFC were not competetive in any of those games I mention.

* Note to board police, when I say 'we' I mean fans of Liverpool FC. I do not wish to imply that I am in any way a part of the team. Just wanted to clear that up :D

Or the thousands who attended Hole Trafford from the late 60's to 1992 or so?

You're being very harsh AFR, as I suspect you know. LFC fans support the club. Maybe the fans hoped it would trigger a fightback a la Istanbul, you know when they were 3 down to Milan, and getting a worse tonking. Or should they all have left then as well?

Anyway, I hope you walked out of Old Trafford last season and the season before as Ferguson lost the plot and United meandered along.

Do you still go to Old Trafford to be milked for all you are worth by the Glazers?

Either way, this money from Dubai had better come along quickly. Sooner we're back dishing the slagging the better. This receiving lark is over-rated :D
