The hurling crowd are just something else .
There were 2 or 3 proposals on the table for a few months before the issue was put to Central Council . No moans or groans from the hurling crowd.
They all turn up to the CC meeting and one proposal passed with little or no dissent or controversy or protest.
Then a few days later the hurling Counties start queueing up to moan and complain about the proposed new NHL.

Bloody children the lot of them.... >:(

NHL format tweaked for 2012

The proposal for Divisions 1A and 1B in next year's Allianz HL have been retained with the minor change that winners of 1B now get the chance to participate in the semi-finals.

The option of returning to an eight team Division 1 has been ignored with the top hurling counties agreeing to the new proposal.

Under the new format the top two teams in Division 1B will playoff to determine the side that proceeds to the semi-final against the top side in Division 1A. The second and third placed sides in Division 1A will contest the other semi-final.
