The outright odds on Boylesport before the draw has even been made are comical.

In my book Cargin and Creggan remain favourites with Aghagallon and Portglenone close behind.

Will be interesting to see if the new look St Brigids side can cause a bit of disruption come Championship time.

They've about 9 county standard players to come into their team if you include those 5 Downeys.
Imagine playing for your club from U8 and then watching a car load of lads sail in and take your jersey for the championship because some of  the people in their club can't be grown ups.  Just can't get my head around that.

Larry Tompkins was a serious free taker in his day.

Boring.  Derry won the ball back on about ten minutes and Dublin were committed up the field.  Conor Glass turned and passed it back, slowed it down deliberately.  Over coached.  Will never get past an All Ireland semifinal.

Slabber
Didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Chickens coming home to roost now though.

"But I'm proud of the lads' performance, there is so much to build on.
"It should give us a lot of belief. We have gone toe to toe with one of the best in the world. It doesn't matter who we come against, if we play as a team, tactically right with the fans behind us, we can beat anyone."

Beat anyone? Would Ireland have beaten Spain at home 2-0, like the Scots? Not a chance. Never underestimate the power of the Irish soccer brethren to self-delude.
The supporters are overwhelmingly behind the manager and team.  Nothing wrong with that.  Mbappe, Griezman and Camavinga are two levels above anything Ireland have.

I think that's a totally reasonable assessment from BS. Certainly couldn't justify it being "delusional".

Armagh aren't in a mess, they are just over hyped and need to lower their expectations.  They are a top 8 team, not a top 4 team, so All Ireland 1/4 final and an Ulster final is their realistic target. They just aren't good enough to beat a Galway or a Kerry at the business end.

It wasn't his best evening.  Yer man Shirlow from Liverpool Uni waffling as well.  John Campbell cutting through to the facts as always .

I watched 10 minutes of Monaghan and Tyrone and switched it over. Genuinely couldn't be arsed watching Monaghans slow build up, passing the ball across the pitch and back, constantly afraid or unable to slice a pass into the forwards. The outcome looked inevitable within minutes, Tyrone with everyone back, then breaking up field when Monaghan give it away and nick a score.  Boring predictable shite .

Very good 20 minutes in the first half, lively, urgency, overlaps, ball on the deck, couple of goals.  Then the energy dropped and we let them back in.  Ferguson is the big hope, hopefully he can handle the attention. Johnston was lively when he came on and Obafemi gives it everything.  Coleman and Egan will improve the defence. Centre mid is the area I'd be most worried about. They will be very badly exposed by France if they don't up their game, even just basic stuff like first touch and closing down - there was a big hole too often on the edge of the D which France will exploit massively if it's not sorted.  Big crowd in who are giving the team every chance.

Only 22 Conservative MPs voted against the Stormont Brake. The Tories have moved on, just a cabal of Johnston, Truss, Rees Mogg, Francois and a few other headers left.  DUP are in no man's land.

The lunatic fringe.  They will become increasingly isolated.  It's all games anyway with the DUP. They'll string it out for a while and eventually come back.
I agree.  The only thing on the mind of the average Tory MP is saving their skin in next years election and wasting time on the DUP isn't in the equation.  Jeffrey still on a hook, all they are doing is hanging onto their hard core support but it's all tactics and no strategy.

To win a Grand Slam with that France team knocking around is a great achievement.

A good day. Well done to everyone involved.  Threw a couple of games away this year as we all know.  Very satisfying to push on in that one and get big scores when the pressure was on.
