GAA Discussion / Re: Dún na nGall v Cill Dara

Kildare don't help themselves - missed a few handy frees during the match.  They couldn't half be doing with a couple of extra forwards who can kick a point.  They won't catch Cork, Kerry, Tyrone (even Dublin) unless they can find a few more natural forwards.
Karl Lacey was unreal, in fact that whole Donegal half back line are playing well.  Thompson doesn't get a lot of headlines but he gets on the ball a lot.

Lads. A French person asked me to bring him to a game. Thought this one would be perfect. I'm from an Antrim club though - how would I get a couple of tickets or would they all be snapped up inside the counties?

My club does Scor every year and is all the better for it.  A great way to put in the winter nights and lots of kids and older people and ladies get involved who otherwise would never be seen near the place.

Every time I go to a Scor the place is packed and the standard gets better every year imo.  He's entitled to his opinion but is out of touch as far as I'm concerned.

Had Derrygonnely the same personnel as last year?

No I wasn't there.  I was at last weeks semi final where Down cleaned up.  Great venue.  I had heard Killyclogher Novelty Act was very good; they'll be very disappointed.

Watched Mickey's interview on BBC News 24.  He just makes me proud to be in the GAA.  So dignified, genuine and articulate.

RIP.

Antrim / Re: Antrim Football Thread

from a neutral view: casement looked magnificent, not a big crowd and match rarely sparkled; ref too fussy; thought the girl put her heart into amhrainn na bhiann so for once i thought that worked.

disappointed with cargin. county men never stood out. michael mccann seems to be trying too hard and lacks confidence in front of goals. would he make a good centre-back?  o'boyle the only threat.

low point of the night - cargin manager dunting into the back of st gall's selector on sideline, trying to start something. sneaky and pathetic.

hope st gall's do well. thought o'boyle was turning their backs too handy - something to tighten up on.

kevin niblock is pure class.  i think he's going to be one of the best.  CJ showed his quality and overall it's easy to see why they are all ireland champions.

Would McKernan do a bit of sledging?  He seemed to be mouthing at Kerrigan all day. I wouldn't be a fan of that. Fine footballer though.
