Strange to see that whoever produces the program have the Graiguecullen goalkeeper named as Danny Maher for the past few games even though he was the county goalkeeper 2 years ago. Very shoddy journalism and shows how much the Co. Board know about the players. Even Laois Today don't know his name is actually Danny Bolger which surprised me to be honest as they are doing great work covering sport within the county.
Is it possible that the lad changed his surname? I know Ryan Giggs used to be Ryan Wilson!
He changed his name to his mother's side..

Thought Flynn made some strange decisions on both sides, especially in the 2nd half.

I suppose the interesting thing I see is how many clubs in the semi-finals with so little county players.  For those that say we lack talent maybe we are looking in the wrong places or not motivating the right men.

Am I right in saying 1 starter from
Ballylinan
Graigue
Port

that's with Gary not being definite and Timmons being out all year.

Graiguecullen had 3 players on the county panel this year. The 3 of them played against Wicklow in the qualifiers. Trevor Collins, Mark Timmons and Ambrose Doran.

Oh right and against Clare ?

Oh right, only 2, Mark Timmons, Trevor Collins. So you're not right :-)

How did Timmons play lads?
Thought he done well enough for his first game. Held Furlong scoreless from play.Looked a bit rusty at times.

I dont know what all the pessimism is about, we ran them ragged for at least 60 out of the 75mins played. We were cruising and 9pts up around 10mins into the second half when Creedon made 4 or 5 substitutions in a short space of time.
We lost all our momentum and Wicklow brought it back to 3. We then took control again and stretched our lead back out to 9. then with 2 or 3 minutes to go they kicked in 2 hopeful high balls and tagged on 2 goals, how often do you see this happening when a team is well ahead ?.
I know Brody made at least 3 good saves during the game but that's why he's there. But some of the substitutions, both incoming and outgoing were puzzling.

From a Carlow point of view, gotta be happy with that draw. It was always likely that we'd be away after beating Wicklow at home in last years 1st round. So London was the best one to get.
Decent side, but after our terrible loss at home to them in the league which ended up costing us promotion we are well warned this time.

Be great to win another game and get 4 championship games, can't remember the last time that happened.
I see Connolly got his 12 week ban today, a pity he didn't get the red card he should have got instead on Sat night at the time. Score was Dub 0-9, Car 0-6, it would have put Dub down to 14 after 45 mins. Instead he stayed on & we went down to 14 and Dublin tapped over points in last few mins.
Wishful thinking,ye wouldn't have beat them if ye were still playing. You have to move the ball forward to get scores. It was a bore fest.
