Quote from: Hectic on July 02, 2025, 10:09:37 PMDid that game finish?  Updates cut off before the end.

Didn't matter anyway as St Johns did what they had to do to see Aghagallon into the playoffs.

Game blew up with 2 mins to go for a pushing and shoving session. Not sure what happens now in terms of points. If Aghagallon win are they still in playoffs then?

The last thing I'll say for the people that don't believe in cycling, the cynics and the sceptics, I'm sorry for you. I'm sorry you can't dream big and I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles...

I do love watching Pog though. He's brilliant!

Too many Belfast men on it to sort it out.

A new born baby has meant I've not got watching any of the giro. What's the craic this year? Will have to get on the highlights.

The lads are great but I wish they'd stop going on about bags of ket.
Their concert looked like there was a serious crowd at it last night.

Quote from: imtommygunn on May 07, 2025, 10:10:20 PMHow did the cargin game finish? They were five up with a bit to go but haven't seen any update since.

Probably not many surprises in the games tonight.

Cargin have a very strong team out for this time of year. How many nailed on starters are missing?

Why do the Isrealis hold so much influence in the west, particularly America. Obviously money involved but who are these money men?

Another question. why do the Israelis control the Egyptian border?

It's hard to put into words how horrible those Israeli f**kers are. Trump has the power to end this and is standing by watching it all happen.

Definitely not my best idea but glad I got home safe and sound and hopefully injury free. Bit of time off now and then I'll start planning my races for the year in the build up to Chicago.
I've a child on the way next week so that's going to put the cat amongst the pigeons 😂

Ended up doing Belfast today. Last minute job. So much easier in perfect running conditions than the heat of London last week! Probably not the best idea doing 2 marathons in 7 days but I ran much better today thankfully.

Belfast could turn that into a good marathon if they made a few tweaks. There was hardly any toilets at the start line, mile markers were missing at some points, drink stations were tiny etc. Support was brilliant though. That point at the Ormeau road is like the Tour de France with people lined both sides scream support. Really enjoyed that run today!

Quote from: laoislad on April 28, 2025, 06:44:29 AMFair play to JimStynes from this parish for running the London Marathon yesterday and the massive amount of money he raised for his charity.
Think he ran New York in November also.
Some man fair play.

Good man Laoislad! Running is being kind! It was more of a run then a shuffle, then a walk/run. Was suffering in the heat from mile 8 big time. 18 mile slog after that and one of the hardest things I have ever done. 2 majors done and Chicago to do in October. More importantly I have raised over £18k for TinyLife. A charity close to my heart.

Wow epic.
Will you do all 6 or 7 as it is now?

I will have to see! Boston and Tokyo very expensive and hard to get into! And I am very slow so I won't be qualifying for these majors any time soon lol!
New York was one of the best days of my life. If anyone ever gets the chance to do it then don't hesitate and just sign up! Hoping to be in a lot better shape for Chicago!

I'd say the more likely thing was a few cheeky texts and some flirting, women think that is worse than sleeping around ;)

I'd say all those lads have a prenup in place, and if they didn't then more fool them

Aul Tiger got away with it long enough

A young lad from down the road is a global superstar and one of the greatest golfers of all time. Unreal! I have loved his story and was so happy to see him win it the other night. It was as good a night of sport that I can ever remember. Tiger's last Masters win was brilliant and I think it nearly tops that as well. I'd have loved to have seen Tiger and Rory going at it in a major. All the crap and slagging Rory has got can be forgotten about now.
Quiz question: Which All Ireland winner played tennis with Rory at one of his birthday parties??
