Quote from: Stickittotheman on March 23, 2025, 09:27:58 PMThere is still the guts of a good team there when we get some guys back. No Clucky is a massive loss, he is irreplaceable and a fantastic man marker. But if we get a few back our Championship team looks decent.

I would think seriously of dropping Rogers to full back for the Donegal game. Teams are running through us at the minute. Maybe he can help shore things up. In the interests of solidity I would have McFaul in at centre back and McGrogan to his natural position.....

A backline of McKinless, Baker, McEvoy, Rogers, McGrogan, McFaul, Doherty. We are being blitzed at the minute game after game. Something has to change.

Would Bradley be ahead of baker? Think Rogers is better out the pitch but may have to try something. McKinless is massive miss and thought if he played well Derry played well

Quote from: NotedObserver on March 23, 2025, 08:18:13 PMGood to see a few signs of things being worked on. When they could they got early ball into Darragh and McCurry. Big Kennedy a serious operator with conn improving. Some of the support players such as Daly, donaghy and mcgeary good. Not sure what people thoughts are but been impressed with Teague. First proper run at intercounty and doing okay

Peter Teague has been excellent. I'd dread to think how we would have faired out defensively without him and Rory Brennan returning
Pity Hampsey has been missing, they've more than compensated for his absence but if we had him as well in there our defence would look formidable
Interestingly no sign of Hampsey today. Seen 7 players do a separate training session before the game, meyler was one of them but he stepped away from the intensive drills (so still looks a long way off)
Could be wrong, but didn't see Hampsey anywhere today. So can only assume he will be missing for the Ulster championship then too

What's the date for Ulster championship?
Brian Kennedy some asset to have in the middle of the field

Hampsey on sideline but in tracksuit. Shoulder problem so hard to know how far away. Depending on group games could yet see some championship games this year. Can meyler make a full recovery? Seen him saying himself he didn't know whether or not he would be back

Quote from: Rebel84 on March 22, 2025, 05:34:43 PMwhile the clarkes only went back training a few weeks back and despite missing a lot of starters from last season was very impressed with the fianna today. they look fitter and sharper than 2024 and big McHugh was back for them and excellent in midfield with tiernan quinn up front doing a lot of damage. he looks to have shook off the injury he was carrying end of last season and cant understand why he's not in the county setup would be a better option that 1 or 2 others possibly.

Would McHugh be on the Tyrone development panel? Hopefully gets an injury free run now

With us closing in on championship what's our best team?

Morgan
Clarke
Teague
Devlin (Hampsey may return to take a spot)
Mckernan
Brennan
Harte
Kilpatrick
Kennedy
Daly
Mcgeary
M Donnelly
Bradley
Canavan
One from (Oguz/burns/mcgeary/Seanie O'Donnell/donaghy/mccurry)

Think there is one spot up for grabs and not sure who will take it

Don't move the ball quickly enough at times but signs of slow improvement. Not sure Devlin is a corner back, mcgeary gets serious ball but maybe better with someone else. Oguz struggled first game back. Rory Brennan good game along with mark bradle

Is Mcelholm not back with the under 20s?

Could see plenty of the Errigal boys on the bench starting. Unconvinced Niall devlin is a man marking corner back although missed the Galway game. Hopefully can build on the attacking display from last time out

Quote from: ClubScene13 on March 09, 2025, 08:24:44 PMWould the U20 panel be named anywhere? They have Down away in first championship game in 10 days time and I don't think I had seen it anywhere

Would like to see it plus the full Minor panel too. Don't know why these things are always shrouded in secrecy.
Maybe it is hidden somewhere in Muskrat's X? Tyrone County GAA website is a total disgrace. If like you don't subscribe to Muskrat's X it is really hard to find lots of Tyrone GAA info that should be readily available.

Who?

Would McDonnell have something to offer? Does bring a bit of legs to the middle sector. Potter has plenty of talent and brings something different

Quote from: NotedObserver on March 09, 2025, 08:43:03 PMAlso is there a senior development squad or is that created after the under 20s are out?

The so called 'development squad' played their Derry counterparts on Saturday morning in Moortown.

Heard the Tyrone team was full of senior squad players and very few development players in comparison to the Derry line up.

Is there anyone on it that hasn't been involved in the senior set up this year? Any idea who playing
