Quote from: The Trap on July 13, 2025, 05:27:29 PM2 days in a row you could have left with 15 mins to go but what a great sport we now have.
Last years semi finals and final were much better sporting contests.
Now Kerry and Donegal were excellent but these one sided contests are poor to watch.

People really confuse high scoring with high quality. It's just field basketball not

I agree. The constant  back and forth hand passes around the arc  is as plentiful, if not more,  as  last year. And as boring to watch as it ever was.

Only difference is  if you  handpass enough times , you might  create a space for a score.  There's a little bit more room now to do that with 6 players up , but the game  is  as ponderous  as it ever was, with the odd moment of  magic from Clifford, Conaty, Con O'C or whoever.

Quote from: Schkite on July 13, 2025, 05:29:24 PMChrist Almighty... I know it's not over yet, but when's the last time we've had a winning margin like this in a semi final?

Kerry Cork 2002 is all  I can recall (15 points)

Galway would have  given Donegal a better game of it

This is very poor  from Meath.

My 8 point  prediction is looking very generous now

QuoteFor me, Fitzgerald was the best I've ever seen, then Clifford.
Caravan, Matt Connor and Connolly round out my top 5.
Maurice Fitzgerald  for me too. Just so graceful , beautiful to watch

Clifford is a fantastic player, as was Peter 'Caravan'   and Cooper.

QuoteMickey Harte was dreadful in the co commentator role yesterday. Came across as someone from a bygone era, who was more interested in Tyrone than the actual match.
He wasn't as bad as  Pete Sampras on the RTE  panel. Asking Garth Crooks-style meandering non-sensical questions and  adding  wee snide comments.

Quote from: AustinPowers on July 13, 2025, 12:16:00 AMI am recording the shows tonight. Only catching bits  and pieces.

I did see the Queen set , it was great.

What are the  other  highlights to look out for?

And who was  absent that day that should have been  there?

Philomena Begley

 ;D

Did Wham or  Culture club play?

They were big then

QuoteWill Joe McQuillan be called Kerry Joe now?  ;D
Strangely, the  last image on RTE's montage post match was Joe with a big smile on his face. He was clearly   very happy with  the result

so yes,  he's Kerry Joe now
