Coalisland's next two games down as postponed now. At least they can be fitted in at some stage if your only talking about 2 games in a full division of football.

With senior - if Tyrone made the All Ireland final your hardly meant to fit 10 games of football into August? Might have to make an exception here and plough on with it.

Quote from: Tyrone11234 on June 29, 2025, 09:40:07 AMObviously delighted to be back in a semi final but were some on this board watching a different game? As poor a standard I've seen in a quarter final in a long time. We've got a mountain of work to do on our attacking structure to compete with Donegal or Armagh- our only idea at times was to have a pop at a 2 pointer.
On a positive note, Daly McElholm and O'Donnell stood up big time in the second half. Trust in the youth

I'd agree with you sir - will take a win over Kerry or Dublin in any form no matter how it comes but it was a very flat game of football until the last ten. Hopefully we can click into gear a bit better in two weeks time as I'd say it may be needed but a win's a win. Feel like we need to let the ball in earlier, we get a lot of compliment's on our full forward line but if the supply isn't coming early enough then we're struggling to get the best out of them.

Leagues on the back burner due to our county team's good fortunes or plough on with more starred games? August already fairly congested as it is

Quote from: Tyrone_Q55 on June 20, 2025, 09:55:39 PMHas there been any news of McKernans injury? Timeline for return?

Will be a massive miss if not involved for the remainder of the campaign.

Not as bad as first thought supposedly but that still might not be any use to Tyrone - the All Ireland final is in 5 weeks. Hopefully we see him again, was in All Star form

Wouldn't get that annoyed by it but it is needless.  In fairness to Kieran McGeeney the team he names normally takes the field. Same with the Munster and Leinster hurling finals over the weekend, the named players start, it is pure nonsense to name a dummy team before every game

Tyrone down to play Cavan for Sunday 15th June at 4:00pm. That'll be a full round of Div 1 league needing moved to accommodate. Would they move to Saturday? Intermediate and Junior already down for the Friday night, if the whole point of staggering the different grades was referee shortages I'd say your looking at Saturday or bust to get them played that weekend.

Thought Daly better than normal last night but wouldn't be sticking the boot into lads like Shea O'Hare who've had limited chances, would ye say Ciaran has been lighting it up for the county? Yet has the 12 jersey on his back every day? His counterpart Aodhan donaghy while young, does not look like he can offer anything in terms of attacking play at this level. Where's my nearest hand pass essentially.

As for McShane, a don't want to see that name mentioned on here again, cheers men.

Quote from: tiempo on May 29, 2025, 08:55:31 AMBe interesting to see if the slander usually dished out pre/mid championship to Errigal Dungannon and others passes over to Carmen this year or do they get another bye ball. For some reason their lack of ONeill cup success the last 20 years is completely overlooked or has it just become unremarkable?

I'd say its unremarkable - and won't be any closer this year. Loughmacrory will nip one before them imo the way it's looking. They're still hard put away in a championship game but delivering what you need for x4 straight games is beyond Carmen at the minute I reckon. They could still prove me wrong, not a club you look forward to pulling out of the hat.

Is the U20 final dependent on who wins the other semi final? Did I read somewhere if its Mayo then its 31st May / 1st June but if its Louth it will be the week after?

Agree with that Mikhailov, I think from the county minors changed to U17 the correlation is not really there to a good senior anymore as well. Stating the obvious when you're watching 16 year olds but the S&C levels you need to get to makes it extremely hard to get a good guage on who could make it through, you can see it even in the amount of minors who don't make Tyrone U20's in the following years.

Quote from: ClubScene13 on May 05, 2025, 02:29:17 PMThe Irish Independent reporting that the All Ireland Under 20 final could be pushed back as far as 31st May / 1st June due to player involvement in both under 20 and senior panels for respective counties. Obviously Tyrone might not beat Kerry in which case the league can start but we obviously cannot be waiting until 6th-8th June to be playing round 1.

"The All-Ireland U-20 football final could face a two-week delay as the consequences of the 60-hour rule, introduced at Congress last year, are felt in the coming weeks.

The original date for the final, Saturday/Sunday May 17/18 won't be met as the All-Ireland semi-final between Mayo and Louth has already been pushed back to the Friday of that weekend, in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, Longford at 7.00pm, because of goalkeeper Tiernan Markey's involvement with both Louth senior and U-20 squads."

Not dying about the 2 points for some wins and 3 for others, serious swings to be had depending on when you play certain opponents. Had to change something though, that carry on last year of 8/9 games in August was going to happen every year going forward, probably this year as well, as Tyrone will be playing to minimum end of June if not later most years. Looking at 10 league games and a championship left to play after Tyrone's exit probably had stopped being feasible with new inter county structure.

Was this rushed through, given the county format is changing again next year to the Down model? Would that of free'd up more time for club or is it more of the same?

Quote from: AustinPowers on April 01, 2025, 12:39:24 AMRe: the 2021 final.  I'm not just saying it now , but I was certain beforehand Tyrone would  win it. Moreso than Mayo  losing it.

I don't think  Mayo had any  sort of meltdown that  day, did they?  Not that I recall anyway . Tyrone just seemed  to get the big scores at the right time

100% AP, everyone I spoke to within the county was the same too, absolute confidence after beating Kerry. Now that semi final, I was not confident at all, but one game can change everything

Quote from: armaghniac on March 28, 2025, 04:02:00 PMFirst-come first-served for Armagh season ticket holders. it doesn't say how many are available; 500 would be quite different from 2000.

You still crying? Go down to the local club that weekend, just FYI they play 60 minutes not 70. The umpires won't be wearing white coats either.
