Quote from: Armagh18 on March 26, 2025, 09:55:12 PMIs your man Sargeant playing for Derry? Say he wouldn't be far off senior level, machine of a man.

James Sargent is only out of minors and will be one for the future but not ready for senior just yet. Plenty more serious talent in this squad if they can be kept together and nurtured along over the next few years.
Some player. Beat our lads on his own in the final last year.

Plenty of talent coming through in Derry for sure.

Quote from: Blowitupref on March 25, 2025, 03:07:13 PMI see journalist John Fogarty on the Irish Examiner has said "serious chance of Ulster final returning to Croke Park this year"  good idea or leave it in Clones?

why?
Cause the ulster council think it's a forgone conclusion that Donegal V Armagh final. They've already lined up the ladies final for same day as they think both counties will be in it.
Let the other 7 counties ruin the Ukster Councils plans.
I highly doubt anyone see's an Armagh Donegal final as a foregone conclusion. Donegal should come through their side more than likely, but assuming Armagh and Tyrone meet in the semi it is a 50:50 game.

Quote from: Gabriel_Hurl on March 14, 2025, 10:46:10 AMHe owes about 80 grand in fines.

There's talk of a receiver being appointed so they can start to get it back by garnishing his wages.

Bank of Ireland ordered to pay 40k of money from Burke's bank account to the court in 7 days.

Scary.

Cash is king folks.

Not really scary to be honest. I would have had sympathy at the start for him but he continues to rack up court fines by repeatedly breaking the court order, what do you expect?
If any of us behaved the way he did with our boss, you'd be suspended. If you continued to ignore the suspension day in day out the only outcome is court order. Repeatedly break that and of course this happens.
Scary in that the state can just take your money from your bank like that.

I still think he's 100% right but I wouldnt have had his stubbornness lol

Quote from: AustinPowers on March 25, 2025, 12:29:23 AMWestmeath seemed to  get a 2 pointer v Roscommon. Ball bounced in the square and over

I thought it had to  go  straight over the bar? Or  has this been changed? Christ I can't keep up
That was changed with the last rules I think.

In the last 11 months or so Donegal and Armagh twice have absolutely destroyed Derry with a blaze of goals. If Derry don't get the finger out Donegal will do the same again in a few weeks. Bound to take its toll psychologically on Derry.

Quote from: mackers on March 24, 2025, 12:27:56 PMHe also pinned the wrong people in the mini melee with both McGrogan and McCabe lucky to escape without punishment.
Yeah McCabe looked to be the worst offender in it.

But if Gough employed common sense he'd have told them to wise up, was 20 points in it at that stage.

Very harsh decision on McGuigan. Was barely even a shoulder. I think we were probably getting beat anyway given how easy Armagh ran through the middle of us before the red card but you never know how the game would have panned out .
Soft enough but sure he had been booked already, silly from him.

Justice anyway for that bite in the Ulster final lol.

Quote from: Armaghtothebone on March 24, 2025, 05:01:35 PMShame on the Antrim players and shame on the GAA for backing down

By my reckoning that decision has cost the GAA in the region of £300,000 in lost revenue.( 10,000 people @ £30 a head).

Will be thinking about that the next time someone asks me to buy a ticket for a raffle or sponsor something.

Stop embarrassing yourself. More important things than money.

Quote from: Aaron Boone on March 23, 2025, 10:40:05 PMIt is interesting how the head-to-head rule prevails throughout a 3 month league. Armagh beat Tyrone 50 days ago in a home match in Athletic Grounds.

Because of Armagh's big score difference today, I think Tyrone are down by any measurement, but the head-to-head rule should be discussed again.

Tyrone would have been down on points scored regardless (provided that last score discussed above was in fact not counted). The table on the Sunday game was slightly wrong.
Isn't it wild that if score difference was used then that score given or not being given would be sore important? Never would have thought that at the time.

People don't really care about stats when it comes to immigration, they care about what the see and the crowds of foreign men being moved in next to schools, loitering about not working, driving around in cars not fit for purpose and dealing drugs. (Before any w**ker says it, yes we have plenty of Irish scum as well doing all of the above, so we dont need more)

Quote from: bennydorano on March 23, 2025, 06:17:22 PMGood league overall for Armagh, never once fielded anywhere close to the AIF starting 15. Get those boys back in and we mightn't be a million miles away - even without  Rian O'Neill.  Keeping boys fit is half the battle in this condensed system we've straight-jacketed ourselves into.

Big find of the league has to be McCormack in defence. Ross McQuillan our best overall imo.
Yeah those 2 and Murnin had great leagues.

Quote from: LarryStiles on March 23, 2025, 04:40:53 PMSo Armagh relegated along with Derry and Kerry and Mayo final next week. Might as well hand the title to kerry with mayo playing in a final.  ::)

Tyrone well safe ,could hammer the dubs by more who are really poor.
This aged well.
