General discussion / Re: UK pensions
It's 35 qualifying years you need to get full pension is that right?

I've 17 done and it says I need another 18 but I can buy another 7 or 8 for £800. I'm planning on working until my 60s anyway so I'd imagine I should be grand pension wise rather than wasting a few grand buying years I don't need.

I've 3 years contributed from 16-19 which I wouldn't have thought about but just another advantage to getting a job when younger.

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on March 26, 2025, 11:54:22 PMIt's common knowledge these rules benefit strong teams. There will be some bad trimmings but as long as the top 4/6 going well, all rosy in the world of the gaa.

But sure the top 4-6 teams were going well in the old rules... Dublin and Kerry still won the majority of titles the last 20 years the Dubs did 6 in a row!

I would be very surprised if Rogers/McFaul/Murray/Loughlin weren't togged for the Donegal game!

Jesus I knew Derry were favourites but that's serious shooting. Can we fire some of these lads in against Donegal?

Rogers takes Murphy wherever he is on the field... hopefully he can retire him a second time!!

Did a binge of Gangs of London there... it's watchable but very gory and way too far fetched. 6/10.

Yeah we've injuries and started late etc. but I haven't seen any progression from game to game.

No kickout strategy, no visible attacking strategy (I remember a lengthy video on Twitter a while ago showing 5/6 different attacking plays we used to have where are they?) and defensively we have been absolutely crucified in most games bar Galway/Tyrone.

I hope we see some semblance of a plan against Donegal!

I know we're not in a good place but that's the worst 8 minutes of football all I think I've ever seen!

Armagh far better defensively. We are struggling to even get in a scoring position. Meanwhile they are running right through us every time

The only reason we're still in it is because we've won a decent amount of ball in midfield. We've looked laboured up front and kicked a tonne of wides.

Without the ball we've been woeful Armagh have almost walked it in 4/5 times without a hand on them were almost afraid to commit to a tackle.

Armagh have been fairly poor but if they go up another gear they'll dispose of Derry really this second half. What was McGuigan at supposedly a leader on the team and gets a second yellow card for that? Jesus wept!
Was it him hit Murnin after the ball? Silly if it was.

Yeah it was just a shoulder after the ball was gone nothing major but ridiculously stupid when already on a yellow.

Gough happy enough to send men off when he has the slightest opportunity!
