Maybe they can unearth another shocking video of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dancing on a roof top in college.

That'll show 'em!
i heard her talking about a new tax plan today if I was her I'd stick to the dancing

It's quite amusing to see the right wing so threatened by a young, inexperienced, freshman Congresswoman from the Bronx/Queens who has just about zero influence with the Democratic leadership at this point.

Creep shot photos of her from behind, dancing videos, trawling her high school yearbook and making a big deal out of her nickname of "Sandy" back then...
you brought her up

I wasn't saying you specifically.

She's a Democratic version of Sarah Palin

If AOC wasn't smoking hot, do you think anyone would be listening to one word she's saying?

She is newsworthy locally here in NYC for knocking off Crowley and, within Dem circles, as a good looking potential prospect, if she puts in the work.

I've no idea why the right wing as so fixated on her though.

I think the left wing is equally as fixated on her

The left wing is fixated on the right wing's hilariously over-the-top reaction to her.

70% rate on earnings OVER $10m sounds Ok to me... pretty sure the majority of Americans could cope with it as well!!

Apparently it affects like 20,000 people why shouldn't it?

Different mindset over here. It would be viewed as a penalty on successful people

Seeing as there is no floor over here (in terms of welfare) many people think there shouldn't be a cap on the other end either, and the top 1% already pay a disproportionate amount of the overall tax take

"No floor in terms of welfare"?

The "disproportionate" amount of tax is based on the disproportionate amount of earnings and wealth, much of which is taxed at a far lower rate.

That is an opinion I would entirely disagree with.

Both sides need to take the blinkers and spin off for a minute. Income tax is not how you tax the wealthy.
A fair taxation system does not penalise salaries, it taxes capital gains and wealth accumulation without reinvestment.
A system which taxes high salaries makes money only for accountants, not for government.

The tax code in the US is now so complex that is is utterly beyond the comprehension of a single person.
A significant simplification, the removal of all of the special interest and lobbyist additions, the promotion of fair taxation which rewards labor and incentivizes education,  healthcare, charitable donations and growth.

My mortgage is pre tax, but education and health care are post tax?
Horrible.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

44% of Americans pay no tax
The average American pays about $11000 long way to 7 million
