Real unemployment is a good bit higher than 3.7% when you include all the people who dropped out of the job market

Up to March 2017 Trump and his sycophants were claiming there were 95 million unemployed in the US.

You don't hear them say this anymore. And it isn't because these people have suddenly started working, they haven't.

Funny that.

Guardian

"Judiciary committee chairman Chuck Grassley said the report contained "nothing that we didn't already know".

The investigation worked beautifully

But that was always going to be the case. On CNN they have an ex FBI law enforcement contributor, and he said that without a date / time / location info, it was impossible for law enforcement to collaborate Prof Fords allegation.

And her friend at the party state that she didn't know of anything happening

So it was always going to be difficult to collaborate her story.

For me, this is why the Dems needed to provide the letter during the screening process in June, and in doing so, possibly give the  FBI extra time to find collaborating evidence.

As a dem voter, I'm disappointed at how this played out. As I've said before, this sham doesn't help Prof Ford, and tarnishes the judges reputation without giving him the change to clear his name (if innocent).

If also provides the GOP a rallying call for the mid terms and in 2 years.

I see Chuck Grassley is now engaging in a well worn anti-semitic dog whistle by claiming that protestors against Bart O'Kavanaugh's nomination are funded by George Soros.

There literally is no bottom to the Republican cesspit.

And never mind that Republicans have actually paid people to protest against democracy.

Trump is promoting that one too.

Plus he was mocking Al Franken for doing the decent thing and resigning his Senate seat over sexual harrassment allegations.

But hey, he's a fighter... or something...

Presumably all these people are "against law and order", or something.

Or maybe it's the Republicans, given that they've conducted a sham hearing and a sham "investigation".

I don't recall any Republicans on this forum complaining that Franken was "innocent until proven guilty".

That's because sexual harrassment, along with rape and sexual assault, are now partisan issues as far as Rapeublicans are concerned.

But hey, Democrats are "isolating themselves" by demanding higher moral standards of public representatives.

It makes you think about what sort of people Republicans are trying to appeal to, actually it doesn't at all - we already know exactly what type of people they're trying to appeal to.

Some of them even post here.

Collins and Flake and Manchin to vote yes so Kav gets in.
Manchin is a red State Democrat.

But I don't think this is the end of it.

Al Franken correctly resigned.

Were you calling for the "innocent until proven guilty" standard to be upheld in his case?

Any chance of an answer?

Ironic that you say "you couldn't make it up", since making up stuff is the one thing Republicans are very good at doing.

This is more important than whatever the latest wage rises are. The GOP is a tool of the plutocrats. So is the Federalist Society. Kavanaugh will work for them. This is how Rome collapsed.

Could you answer the question, please?

Were you calling for Al Franken to be deemed innocent until proven guilty?

What about Harvey Weinstein?

Were you calling for him to be deemed innocent until proven guilty?
