It will prove to be to the detriment of the United States economy and way of life that the Republicans were allowed to steal the supreme Court seat.

The dissenting comment on the supreme Court ruling is enlightening.

The current cavalier uneducated and short sighted, self interested approach of the Republican party and the risible leadership and direction of the Democratic party are conspiring to shrink the US economy, promote division within America and promote Chinese and Russian geo political agendas.

The blatant racism that has re-reared it's ugly head, the ignorance and promotion of anti science and anti expert sentiment is on it's way to breaking the US for the next 20 years. Dividing rich from poor only protects the rich for a short period of time.

The parallels between the unionist community in the north clinging to a way of life in the face of demographic change over the last 40 years should prove instructive.

Who fills the vacuum?

When will the US election politicians acting in the interest of the people of the country?

Been a while since the new deal...

The GOP are working for the plutocraTS.  They are slowly strangling the US. The next crash will wipe out an  awful lot of wealth.

All sides in current politics — even the radicals — are sticking to what they know. At some point we will all have to let go.

So called "Muslim" Travel Ban upheld by Supreme Court

Meltdown occurs in 3....2.....1...

What do you mean "so-called"?

That's exactly what it was. Giuliani is on record saying that finding a "legal" way to ban Muslims was his remit.

He's had to modify it and the conservative Supreme Court says the current version is within his gift as President, but that in itself doesn't make the whole issue morally right.

If it is a "Muslim ban"  it is a pretty ineffective one, considering it doesn't apply to 88% of the worlds Muslim, but believe what you want

It was as much as he thought he could get away with.

YOU believe what YOU want, but both Giuliani and Trump are on the record.
iran Syria chad Iraq Libya Sudan Somalia Yemen Venezuela North Korea are the countries on ban list all are either going through civil war or are basket cases where the government do not share or cooperate on terrorisn with any countries . A sovereign country should be able to decide who comes in and out of their country ,not USA problem most of these nations are Muslim

And yet the biggest sponsor of terrrorism Saudia Arabia is ok......you couldn't make it up.....they are ok because they buy weapons from US.

Whoever said a sovereign nation doesn't have the right to admit who they want?

I'm merely pointing out that Trump rabble roused and promised to ban Muslim immigration, then set the likes of Giuliani the task to come up with some way to do it legally. The initial clusterfuck was the best they could come up with. The courts have forced them to redo it until finally, 18 months later, a partisan Supreme Court says it not our problem as he has the authority.

Until fairly recently, governments had little control over who crossed their borders, nor did they care much as long as you weren't an invading army of conquest. It wasn't so long ago that the only requirement for getting into the US via places like Ellis Island was that you be in decent health and that was about it. No need for visas or the army of bureaucrats processing them. The Schengen area is a fine achievement by modern standards but it's just going back to how things were before.

I take it you know the countries involved were originally identified by the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION as countries where passports and other official travel documents couldnt be verified as authentic.

I take it you also know thats its a TEMPORARY BAN

I take it you know that the so called Muslim Ban impacts less than TWELVE PERCENT of the Muslim population worldwide

its a very sane policy if u can't verify who somebody is they can't enter the country but trump is a clown and finds it next to impossible to say something without disparaging a group or insulting someone , also I think people should kind of understand that trump takes some really hard positions on immigration, trade which allows him to bargain and give some concessions but still get what he wants

The GOP is focused on short term dopamine hits.

North Korea didn't sign anything.
Muslim bans won't do anything to make the US safer
Tax cuts are not working .

@JohnJHarwood

Trump/GOP leaders said tax-cuts would lift economy out of long-term rut, boosting growth to 3-4% and preventing deficts from rising new CBO projections: deficits rising rapidly, long-term growth of 1.9%

I nearly pissed myself when I read that Trump isn't a bumbling, short-attention span fool and actually has a plan. Best joke of the year.

Supreme Court master plan by the GOP is bearing fruit for the wealthy and the xenophobic in spades this week.

The deplorables and their overlords playing to their base instincts are playing a blinder and should all be feeling very pleased with themselves.
