Wouldn't have much time for Mc Kenna and some of his crackpot theories, or his banker mate, but not sure this is totally a case of "nothing to see here". Think this story could reveal more yet.

What's the craic or rule about keeper dribbling out like Gleeson down twice tonight, even commentators struggles to explain
#4
Said after the Armagh injury time fiasco by Gleeson in 2022 that is Galway don't find a keeper from somewhere they'll win no All Ireland.

Not sure were to ask this and it maybe a stupid question as I'm not the most tech savi.

Previously when I read a tread, the next time I logged in that tread was shaded unless a new post has been added, recently that has stopped so you end up reading the same post over again. Has there been a change to the Forum or is it just my laptop?

GAA Discussion / Re: Ulster Championship 2025

BBC's production this year is poor, match continuing regularly and they are looking at replays or people in the crowd. Niblock's ego is getting out of control, has spoiled what was an excellent podcast and trying too hard to make everything super exciting on commentary, and the less said the better about McMahon. The lack of rule knowledge by both is also shocking.

And the really sad thing is, its the only show in town for watching GAA as RTE with canning an Marty is unbearable.

Like Leinster the last few years, I find this Irish team hard to warm to. Maybe its listening to the Dublin media  but both teams seem totally devoid of personalities. Its all very robotic both on and off the pitch.

The attitude of some Armagh supporters on this issue is appalling, as Armagh fan of 40+ years I would love to see the match but somethings are bigger than attending a game. Antrim grassroots GAA and players have been screwed over by the Ulster council and Croke Park for over 10 years on Casement. Nationalists have been screwed over by various British Governments and Stormont on this, so Casement been built is more than somewhere to play matches. It is a principled point that the countries second city with a majority nationalist population must have a stadium of Stature, and every Gael regardless of where you call home should be on board with this.

I would be convinced these "Armagh" supporters who want to finically burst Antrim GAA or have the players publicly hung, drawn and quartered in Titanic Square were probably never at a match before the Galway penalty shoot out game of 2022. There definitely wasn't 3500 in Mulligar when we robbed Westmeath to get a draw in the division 3 league game of 2019. These people are the same kind of GAA fans who wouldn't know where the gates of there local club is.

My advice to the new breed of Armagh supporters, go read up on the history of our association, learn about the Ethos of the GAA and spend the 12th of April at Kodak corner in Kilbroney to get that must have Insta snap.

Quote from: Cavan19 on March 01, 2025, 06:51:28 AM20 seconds for free kicks? Is that the end off keepers strolling up to kick them?

If Dublin Joe had of had the guts he would have hopped the ball at the end of the 2011 final rather than allowing Cluxton 20 minutes to amble up the field and take the free that probably changed the course of GAA.

Armagh season ticket holder from day one, wasn't many Armagh fans in O Moore Pk just before covid when we were well beat in division 3. Will quite happily watch it on TV to back the Antrim stance, and the Armagh bandwagon jumpers should just suck it up and forego a day sending Insta snaps so they're seen in attendance and remember there is a lot more to the GAA than piss ups and selfies.

Heard that yesterday morning on RTE radio done to music, never heard it before. Now my favourite Christmas song. Any song includes manure face, especially a Christmas song deserves a mention.

Another oldie when the Paisley tapes were all the go in mid 90s was "Santa Claus you p***k where's my F*****g bike.

I genuinely think at least one county board will abandon them 5-6 games into a club league due to utter chaos and some poor ref having to run for his life somewhere and refs refusing to participate.

And if one county board does it will open the flood gates. Be similar to the minor a few years ago where county boards decided there own rules regardless of HQ.

St Patrick's Maghera      V   St Mary's Magherafelt

That made me smile, 1996/7 the battle? BBC News couldn't get cameras there quick enough.
