Wexford at 8/1 to win win the Div 1 league title is surely worth a punt?

Laois team named for game against Waterford tomorrow. Ross Munnelly back in the corner. He's an example to all young footballers. Still has the hunger to keep it going.
Laois will be too strong for Waterford and should have a few points to spare over them.

Antrim do seem to be playing very well at the moment and if we can get the win we'll head to Tullamore on the same points as Offaly because I can't see them beating Galway next weekend. Our score difference is far batter this year than it was after heavy defeats to Limerick and Galway last year. Offaly have a good scoring difference on the back of their big win over Dublin.
There's been nothing between us and Offaly over the past few years so it should be 50/50. Dublin on the other hand have done us and I wouldn't want to be relying on a win there.

That's why there's a panel there.

Lowry is flying for UCD. Himself and O'Carroll were in top form for UCD yesterday. Lowry hasn't done enough and on top of Siggerson Sugrue probably felt Ross deserved his start. He might be getting older but he's well able for Div 4 football.

One of the heroes from 1986. Very sad to hear. Thanks for the memories Pat.

We have Galway on Sat night and I'm sure the game last week has given the Laois lads a boost. On the other hand it also gave Galway a kick in the arse. Laois have a long injury list at the minute so I cannot see us coming within 3 points of Galwaybut would be quite happy to beat the bookies hanicap of 12 points.

The game against Antrim is the big one for us in two weeks time although the likelihood is we'll both meet again in the relegation decider.

I see the bookies are only givng Laois +12 against Galway. Galways performance against Antrim coupled with ours against Limerick has it at that. We'd normally be a few points more. A lot of GAlways big guns are not back as of yet and they must be a bit rusty. Can we do similar to Antrim and keep them to single figures.

I really don't see the point. Killeen are not good enough to win a championship, they don't have enough quality players and Dermot o
r whoever could come in there but they can't work miracles!

Isn't Owen Coss in there?

Poorly represented alright but hasn't it been that way for a long time now.

Family committments was the reason given.

You'd wonder what a selectors role is nowadays considering the back room team most managers bring with them.

Leitrim next up for Laois. 5 points for any intercounty team over 70 minutes is very poor. They must have no forwards at all!

I'd agree with that. Antrim gave Leitrim a bit of a trimming. As bad as we might think we are if we play any way close to our potential we should  be looking at top 2 minimum. Div 4 is poor and Carlow and Antrim will probably give us the toughest tests and we have Antrim in Portlaoise.
