the wobbler, there was no real fundraising strategy within Down to raise monies for player training and county team developement, down went on 1 training weekend this year, look at the monies raised by tyrone, cavan fermanagh etc, with regard kit the guys only got their boots and training kit 3 weeks ago in banbridge .Last year when the flexibility guy Ivan hepled out he did it as a favour and wasnt paid surely at this stage levels should be stepped up

at an under 16 match years ago when we were beaten by 20 points the manager turns round to us and says u lack 2 words "commitment", he couldnt understand everyone laughing,
the same manager when we were 16 points down at half time having only scored 2 points, "its a great game to watch because there are plenty of scores in it"

have to say as an armagh man i hope down do the biz on sunday and get to the ulster final, for a county like down to be in the doldrums for so long is criminal and the county board must take the majority of the blame for this.
i cant see rooney playing full back cos i feel he is a better half back, and was indeed surprised that colgan left the panel, saying that i think down to win with 4 points to spare

uladh you`re prob not far off the mark with clarke and mallon, but I think they will start on the subs bench against donegal :o

any truth in the rumour that big Joe is going to ask Tom Mc Creesh or Tomas Cassidy to come out of retirement to play full back considering we dont have any strong men for the full backs job. ::)

aghadoyle whilst I agree with you about sk, geezer and grimley, oisin is still one of our better players as are ak and Francie.
the biggest gripe I have is the situation with regard to the mc entees, who would still be there if sk wasnt

The geraldines were not a breakaway, at the time Cruppen around 83/84 were not allowed a second team(cross amongst others  objected ) in the league and the forming of Bessbrook Geraldines( a team that played around the 30s in Armagh )was the only way forward. They played in cruppens colours and at their pitch winning the 4th division and junior championship, they were disbanded when it became apparent that more people in the club wanted to play for the geraldines than the senior team.

Bellew is out for the championship, think it is time for Joe to bury the hatchet with the Macs and geezer, Tony to play full back against donegal and john on the 40 against donegal,
Unfortunately I think stephen will be playing on the 40 with marsden on the square.
