Sanchez loan deal to inter to become permanent. No transfer fee but the burden of paying 400k a week for such a flop is no more.

Dortmund know they are dealing with a clueless Woodward and will likely get 20 to 30m more than Sancho is worth. Its money that would normally go into the Glazers pocket so who cares if the fee is inflated so long as he delivers in the manner that Bruno has.

This is exactly why I can't understand why Utd supporters get into conversations about player prices. I couldn't give a fcuk if he costs £300m.

But if the Glazers put a pot aside for buying players, I can't see them increasing that. So you would want to get the best value out of that pot.  So paying 20-30M extra might mean not getting another player.

Like it or not United are paying close enough to the market value. Sancho had 17 goals and 16 assists in 32 league games last year (25 starts) from a wide position and is only 20 years old, playing for a big club in one of Europe's top leagues. Napoli just shelved out 70 million euros + 10 million in add-ons for Osimhen and he hasn't shown what Sancho has imo.

Exactly Covid-19 or not this is roughly the market value.

There is always the Man Utd bonus in transfers, soon as the club are linked the price seems to jump up, thats just the reality. He is young and talented and exactly the type of player that Ole wants to work with.

Job done tonight. Nine first team players rested 1-0 down and still managed to win. Copenhagen in the quarter final next Monday in Germany where I would expect Ole to play close to his strongest team.

Sancho deal seems to be gathering pace. Looks like a very exciting young winger. Would be a great addition but how will it effect Greenwood's development?

The way United fell over the line at the end of the season underlines that Rashford, Martial and Greenwood cannot play every game. He's such a talent and physically mature that we forget Greenwood is only 18. Sancho is badly needed.

Whether people like it or not, Smalling was missed at times this season. Not sure this short kickout crap, passing it around your own box will suit him (it should be done away with in my opinion) but he's a good defender and has a bit more physical presence than Lindelof or Bailly. He's never had a regular partner at United as good as Maguire. He'll be a help.

Agreed on that.

I would be more concerned at this stage about Rashford than Greenwood, his form fell away so badly in the later games, hopefully they can get him refreshed or leave him out to be fresh for start of the new season.

Sancho would bolster this front three meaning there could be a bit of rotation and keep some freshness.

I would expect to see a good few from last night starting to move.

Anyone notice Lingard being slightly annoyed at being taking off last night?
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Rumours are that was his last match as a United player in Old Trafford and he wanted to play the full 90 minutes, remains to be seen if that is true maybe Inter will be interested?

Sanchez officially sold and Smallings loan deal over with Roma it will be interesting to see will Ole keep Smalling for next season or off load him.

20 million of the wage bill alone with Sanchez gone??

Helix.

United making hard work of FC Copenhagen. The Copenhagen goalie Johnson and centre back Nelsson doing wonders at the back.

It's all ok. the customary penalty saves the day!  ;D

Got there eventually but how much has that 120 plus minutes taken out of that group of United players when you consider it was played in 29c heat.

The Copenhagen goalie Johnson pulled off a number of World class and centre back Nelson was outstanding. United also hit the woodwork 3 times and had 26 shots on goal for a long time it looked like one of those nights.

A very decent first full season for Solskjaer 3rd place finish in the league, semi finalists in the league cup, FA Cup semi finalists and now Europa league semi finalists.

United didn't play badly last night and on another night would have won comfortably. Could and should have been more efficient perhaps with the chances but sometimes you get games like that where the opponents keeper is outstanding. Extra time in that heat was not desirable but plenty of rest for next game so no excuses. Rashford still doesn't look himself. Can't really say Fred was poor but United looked more assured when Matic came on. Bailly defended well but he gives away so many needless free kicks and you always feel there's a blunder in him. Martial was really good....he has come alive since Bruno arrived. Looks a top player now.
