1. Fairytale of New York
2. Misty Morning, Albert Bridge
3. Rainy Night in Soho

To be  honest, there are a dozen  or more  I could  have  included in  there. So many great tunes

Since learning of Shane MacGowan's death , I've struggled to pin down  my three favourite Pogues songs.

Been thinking of  a thread like this for a while , where you list your  three favourite songs by a band/singer , then  the absolute best of those three.

Then after a few days/a week or so , someone can select another band, and  we go again.

So , let's start with The Pogues. List your three favourite songs of theirs, then  highlight  your  absolute favourite .

Seen a photo of him recently and he didn't  look great.  Very sad news.

I think people liked him not only because of his music , but he spoke his  mind.  Typical example  here, at 53:50

He was a very  intelligent, an intellectual, a poet and  a musical genius I would say. I absolutely love the  Pogues music.  So many brilliant songs

RIP Shane. You have left  one hell of a legacy.

Quote from: From the Bunker on November 29, 2023, 09:19:18 PMThe gas thing is they can still get out of the group. They will be play a Bayern side at home who have nothing to play for but the Win bonus.

Could Utd be the first to win only two games and get out of the group with 7 points?

Juventus got out with  5 draws and a late win v United , in 98 I think it was.  Got to the final too.

Quote from: Armagh18 on November 29, 2023, 08:02:32 PMOnana had few good games there but back to his flaky self tonight. Europa league would be some hindrance to the league with the amount of injuries but should be aiming to win kt

United are well out of the CL , and the Europa.

They don't have a good enough squad (or  team), to cope with  it.  Get the injured players sorted , and a game a week will give ETH the  breathing space to try and get  things right, and get some sort of playing  system  in place

No point flogging a  poor squad with a lot of injuries,  through 3  competitions come new year. That will only lead  to one ending - ETH being sacked

Dunno if this has been mentioned yet, surprised if it hasn't.
How many times can you bounce the ball back then?

As far as I know, you  can bounce/dribble the ball basketball -style as much as you want , as long as you don't catch it in your hands .

Oh! I didn't know that.

You're clearly  still annoyed about 1994, aren't you?  ;)

Quote from: seafoid on November 27, 2023, 03:28:15 PMWill it ever happen? In 2010 the UK economy was far stronger than it is now.

Casement will get built , but I  don't think it will be ready for the Euros.

But it would be  funny if NI qualified  and they had to  travel to  Birmingham  or Liverpool or somewhere, given their opposition to Casement

It would be even  funnier if NI  didn't qualify ,  Casement was built in time, and West Belfast  benefits hugely

It's a win-win really
