Right Lads and Lassies, was at a table quiz about two weeks ago and this question came up:

From 1980 to 2000 which county won the most all ireland senior titles, hurling and football combined?

It was clarified that this could be all football, all hurling or a combination of both.
The answer they gave and stuck to was wrong  Even though they couldn't back it up, yet I could clearly prove that our answer was correct! (Good thing we were 3 back from the winners and not a point, or things could have got interesting!!) Take it as being inclusive of the years mentioned.

Anyway, without using the GAA.ie roll of honour, what are your answers??

Cork have only 6, 4 hurling and two football. Has to be Kerry, if you are including specifically the two years, 1980 and 2000. But its a different story if you exclude these two years, then you're looking at winners from 1981 to 1999 only

The correct answer is Kerry with seven 80,81, 84, 85,86, 97 & 00. Very simply worked out, I couldn't think of one that beats that and there is not, Cork do indeed have 6. The answer the genius quizmaster gave was Offaly!!!!! They only have five, even if you exclude 80 & 2000 they are still not the answer!!

No, if you exclude 1980 & 2000 the answer is Cork with six. There is simply no way that the Biffs are the answer to that question.
