The BBC are currently running a poll on the best overseas player to play in the Premier League the thing that stands out of the piece is that there were 13 foreigners in that 1st year there are now over 300...

Phil Babb hands down.... ;D

Would make a pure balls of the whole thing.....

The thing that stands out is that "overseas" does not include over the Irish Sea. Roy Keane is as much a foreigner as Claude Makelele.

It'll come down to a split decision.

Seen the poll though. My vote would go to Schmeichel.

Yep, called that one badly wrong. Dismantling the team that promoted them (winning 19 of their last 21 games) turned out to be a terrible move. Lost all cohesiveness.

260 million spent on agent fees alone last tax year in the PL.

Liverpool doing Utd a favour, hopefully they can return that when they play City

That was tough on Watford tonight, they were a credit to good football,  though no complaints about their stupid forearm strike  sending off and the opportune goal gifted by a  clumsy goalkeeper . Nevertheless it was hard to credit just how much Arsenal have fallen  and that despite their x4 times increase in transfer spending. They resemble a scummy team ready to use the tactics and desperate game plan,  trying to keep space between themselves and  relegation.
The odds this year are on a St Hotspur's day, not a St Totteringham's day.

Arsenal already have more points than last season. They spent last summer what Chelsea and Liverpool spent on a goalkeeper. As for the Spurs comparisons. Spurs have won two leagues. Arsenal have won the league twice at WHL and also won it in colour.

Fastest ever Premier League goal tonight  (7 seconds)  https://streamable.com/1i6cj

Great to see Shane long get his mojo back! I even did not begrudge him scoring against Liverpool.
