Time to move on.
Time to improve on our awful Championship record v Galway in the Hyde.
We won't want to start slowly here as Galways forwards could wreak havoc.

GAA Discussion / Connacht SFC 2022

Now that the Leagues are done and dusted thoughts turn to Championship.
This was a foregone conclusion in most minds up to yesterday.
However oul dogs and hard roads ...I wouldn't dismiss the Rhubarbs yet.
We should be getting to the Final anyway.

Couldn't find a thread on this so I thought why not start one?

We thought it wouldn't happen.....
Of course it still mightn't .
Mayowestros and Galway will no doubt beat Letirim and Sligo respectively.
The other 2 games will be 50/50.

4th year in a row ... hope it's not getting too boring for the rest if Connacht.
Ros are outsiders with bookies/punters at 9/4.
We were bigger outsiders last week ;).
I see it as 50/50 all depending on who gets more things right on the day, not to mention the bounce of the ball or indeed Ref/Umpiring decisions.
We certainly didn't get the latter Saturday.

5/5/19 NY v Mayowestros  and London v Galway
12/5/19 Ros v Laythrum in the Hyde
19/5/19 Sligo v Galway or London
25/5/19 Mayowestros or NY v Rest of Roscommon.
16/6/19 Final.

After Sligo's atrocious League campaign and with our lads fading so badly at the business end it looks like the 2 big Counties to make the Final sadly.

A Qualifier campaign for us then starting in Round 2 and probably ending in Round 3.

Our lads conceded 2-18 to Kildare in a challenge last week so it seems our defensive frailties are going to remain with us.

So far I've heard of Ódhran Mac Néilís and 4 lads from Longford.
Ros already without Ciaráin Murtagh, Cathal Compton and No all McInerney since start of the season.
It used to be that some lads gave the NFL a miss but the Championship..... :o

I suspect we won't see any more evictions in Co Roscommon.
"Security personnel" - bucks with Northern accents saying they're  "British" >:(

With the all new condensed Inter County Championship calendar I wonder how many, if any of those Counties eliminated in June have started their SFC and/or IFCS during July?

GAA Discussion / Dublin v Ros Croke Park 5/8/18
August 01, 2018, 11:39:59 PM
I know it's pointless  (like ourselves) but sure it's still officially an All Ireland Quarter Final and deserves a thread.
If we keep the margin under the Tyrone one we'll not be embarrassed.
Can it not be called off please?

General discussion / Michael D seeks second term
July 10, 2018, 11:18:39 AM
I see this oul lad wants a second term.
You'd think at his age he'd ride off into the sunset and draw his 4 or 5 pensions.
Hope someone stands against him.
