Lifelong Republican and retired Supreme Court justice John Paul Stevens says Kavanaugh is not fit to serve on the Supreme Court.

I guess he's a self-loathing white male snowflake, or something.

So a guy is accused of attempted rape, aggravated sexual battery, drugging women and facilitating gang rape all without a shred of evidence, and people are upset with how forcefully he defended himself

Keep it up

I think it's more someone planning on being Supreme Justice blatantly lying and showing his partisanship is the biggest problem!!

It's not though. Democrats and the social justice warriors didn't want him nominated even before the hearing last week. An uncorrorabeted unverified accusation with zero evidence was enough to ruin his life. The hearing was a distraction.

That's a scary thought.

The WH is saying no corroboration. GOP is saying investigation was comprehensive.
Collins will lose her seat next time. Short term gain for the GOP for a big loss in terms of women voters. Plus if the Dems win the House they can investigate properly.
What a mess.

The Dems will bend over and take it, as always.

You think Trump or McConnell would have stood for what happened with Garland? There would have been civil war threatened by them and Fox News and the rest of the right wing machine. Despite whitey's ludicrous whining about the play-nice GOP and the filthy, nasty Democrats, they're pretty toothless compared to the organization, ruthlessness and sheer brazenness of the right.

As much as I hate Trump you have to admire him for the sheer neck

A RINO like W, Romney or McCain would have just pulled the nomination

Trump is like no...... fvck it.......we'll fight it out.....and he may very well prevail, and flip a couple of Senate seats in the process.

More bullshit waffle from the forum's chief Trump sycophant.

A cheerleader with a short skirt and pom poms without a trace of balls to admit what they are.

Like Richard Hammond and Jeff Flake, you're trapped between two different forms of cowardice.

The rabbit hole runs very deep, far beyond the comprehension of the CNN parrots posting here.  An independent investigation is needed, not an FBI one. They will not investigate the CIA and Julie Swetnik connections to the Blasey family. That would open some can of worms.
Julie Swetnick blew up WT7 for the Clintons
that kind of a zealot would blow whatever the clintons told her too

The Dems didn't control the House, Senate and Presidency when they nominated Garland. That is key.
The GOP picked a crap judge thinking they could get a quick nomination.

https://www.theatlantic.com/amp/article/571936/
"We are in a political environment in which there are no rules, no norms anymore to violate. There is only power, and the individual judgments of individual senators—facing whatever political pressures they face, calculating political gain however they do it, and consulting their consciences to the extent they have them."

This may be the high point of GOP power. They couldn't get this guy through without betraying women. They judged that firing up the base was worth it. Let's see.

Jesus if you're going to paraphrase Stewart lee at least give him credit for it instead of bizzarely plagiarising him into a discussion about Jeff Flake and Blasey Ford. Where'd ya steal the rest of your post from?

Trump is a misogynist. So is Kavanaugh.
But it isn't a wise political strategy. Unlike Iranians or people in "shithole countries", American women can vote

You and all the other far right fruitcakes need to abandon your irrational obsession with the Clintons. It's really unhealthy. Sort of Gemma O'Doherty-esque.

Believing in law and order/innocent until proven guilty = "far right fruitcake"?

I know none of us here affect American elections but if conversations like this are occurring across the states then we are in for two terms of Trump. Democrats are isolating themselves from the middle/swing voter by indulging these people.
